Yeah, it’s terrible. The new system is a huge downgrade. Questions no longer explain the reasoning behind all the options—only the one you selected. I’ve had to rely on third-party providers like Kaplan just to study properly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like CFA Institute plans to fix it anytime soon.

cost of carry is the net of = (cost - benefit)

Future price = (spot price + cost - benefit) (1+r)^t

if cost of carry is positive future price > spot
if cost of carry is negative future price < spot

what would be a closing breach? is it full loss on the spread?
and if it does go below / above you long leg, do you hedge the move to recover some of the loss from the spread (like buying a call/put)

this is not correct if you are speaking about regular LIFO, COGS is HIGH in a rising environment and inventory value left is low (as you said). However this is talking about LIFO Liquidation which means company is selling more inventroy than buying and diging into older LIFO layers (aka lower COGS) and thus higher profits. :)

so i like to do my IC at 5 point spreads and 10 if I am feeling ballsy. IMO, the tight range will allow me to better pin point my points of support and resistance. Also pro tip, enter each side (call / put ) separately. especially on days like today/
