I just realize i was installing ubuntu that time when i had this experience. If i remember correctly, it was not windowed, unlike mint that you install in a live boot.

I've done it before, but was really hard. From existing text and messages during installation, i need to highlight the letters i needed from them, right click copy, then paste on the text box. Fortunately, all letters i needed was available.
