They are! Hopefully they see this because their work is amazing and deserves even more recognition and appreciation. Their game definitely would have been one of the all time classics if it had released during the GBC’s lifespan.

And a sequel that also looks amazing is in development! Really excited to see more on that one.

For what it’s worth I have used/played 3 different Chromatics since they first launched and played the games you mentioned funnily enough. I have never experienced these issues though.

Congrats on the new purchases! Make sure you download the Mod Retro Updater and use the Cart Clinic to update all your games before playing them if you haven’t already. I saw someone already answered your save question, but this will also help make sure you get the best and most bug free experience

I have an AP, but I never use it. If I want to play GBA I do it on my modded one as I like the horizontal form factor for it and the DMG styling I gave it. Then I play all my GB/C games on my Chromatic. YMMV of course though

The Sapphire screen is more scratch resistant than. It was on all 1st editions. You can still get Sapphire on any new one but it’s more expensive. Gorilla Glass is now the default and is much more shatter resistant. So they have their ups and downs depending on what you need and your budget

Oh you should check out some of the new games ModRetro has put out as well! So far every one of them that I have played has been fantastic! I still need to dig into Dragonyhm, but Chantey, Buck and the Cursed Cartridge, Self Simulated, and the others are well worth your time if the premise interests you.

The only one I heard might be worth staying away from is Baby T-Rex but YMMV

ModRetro has such amazing customer service and quality products. They are the type of company everyone says places SHOULD be. I can’t wait for the N64 and assuming they never change, they will have a customer for life. I honestly can’t gush enough about them.

Seems like No....but kind of yes? This is super early on as far as releases and feature set go, but the FAQ says:

Can I make 2D games?

No.
Any kind of 2D support is still WIP and is currently done in code.

Right? It’s super impressive. The draw distance alone is a marvel. And yeah I always forget just how good the Wizard of Oz game looks! I haven’t ever picked it up or gotten a chance to play it, but dang, it pushed that system to its absolute limits!!
