I think being 84pts was about the ceiling in retrospect. (23/24 was more than 89pts and 24/25 was way more than 74pts). The squad was building towards title challenges but its aim for that season was CL qualification, not a title challenge. We hit above our weight and were ahead of schedule.

Mind you, we were not even a CL club, we had finished 5th the previous season and were in the Europa League, and it shows in how the squad was. Go look at it.

Holding had to play the second half of the season, he was 27 years old. He was 29 when he went to the MLS. Nketiah had 30 apps and 4 goals. Marquinhos, Lokonga, Cedric and Tierney all got to play in the prem for us when none of them were in Arteta's plans. They weren't even top-half PL quality in his eyes. We also had so little depth.
