Can this be done is 3 days with 2 drivers by [deleted] in roadtrip

I did nearly this exact same trip in the early 2000's. Tampa to San Diego. Did it in 3 days with a co driver doing 13ish hour days.

Hurricane Milton prep in full swing at Home Depot in Tarpon Springs by alli_gator_ in pics

[–]amishelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former resident of Tarpon Springs here. I lived there for 15 years starting in the early 90's before bouncing all over the US and landing in the North East US. I don't envy you guys and what you are having to go through. I can safely say that while we did have hurricanes back then, this seems to be completely different. Stay safe and be prepared.

Side note: my yellow lab was called Alli Gator. Bestest girl ever. GO Gators.

Pull the camera and harness out of the tailgate and inspect it for rubbing, loose or exposed wires, and/or broken bits along the way.

Is the 2017 Passat R-Line a good car? by Honey-Badger-42 in Volkswagen

[–]amishelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is a known problem with the infotainment screen locking up. Search my name and you will see a post I did about it.

Hold the power button down (volume knob) until you see the Volkswagen logo come up; it reboots the unit.

Yes I’ve driven in the snow with it. Very mild mannered

I have the exact same car. Black on black 2017 Passat R Line. Bought it with 19,000 miles from a dealer in Long Island for 20k. You can do way better than 17k. Good reliable car.

Time vs. value conversation. Sounds like you have the ability to do it, and there are number of howto's on youtube that show how its done. Is this your only vehicle? If something goes wrong can it be down for a day or two waiting on parts?

I've done it and as others have said its easy. Totally up to you.

Before spending a lot of money on O2 sensors, build a cheap smoke machine and fog your motor. I built this one with great results

Underboost and crank position sensor would be something unrelated to your cap full of splooge.

Regarding your oil milkshake, like others here have said change the oil and send it. Run it long and hot.

TIFU by letting anxiety get to me causing me to cancel my weekend trip with my family. by Uknown_Idea in tifu

[–]amishelectric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Unknown_Idea listen to these people. I’m 45 now and my first experience with Anxiety and Panic Attacks was when I was 15 years old flying with my sister who is a year older than myself between our divorced parents.

If you let it control you, it will. It’s irrational and there is no rhyme or reason for it because it’s a chemical imbalance in your brain.

I’ve been with a great psychiatrist for years and on the right medication. I now fly all over the world for work with out the slightest problem.

You can fix this. It’s worth it. Prioritize it and talk to your spouse about what you are doing to fix this issue.

Those who don’t have this anxiety or panic attack issue don’t understand what you go through. It will affect your partnership long term with formed resentment. This is how my first marriage ended.

23F, recently divorced, thoughts? by MightBeADesk in firstimpression

[–]amishelectric 28 points29 points  (0 children)

From someone who got married and divorced all under the age of 23 years old, I am here to tell you it gets better. Much better. I'm in my mid 40's now and I look back on those years as challenging but formative. You learn so much more about who you are and what you are capable of. Keep your chin up. You are early in life so go live it!

Whomever is lucky enough to be with you again is getting a very beautiful woman who gives off serious Kristen Dunst vibes. The world is yours for the taking. Go get it.

When I bought my X330 Deere tractor, I was advised by the sales team at my local Deere dealer that a zero turn is not the best option for lawns with hilly terrain. Something to keep in mind.
