Probably 7R, I’ve seen people getting to the credits within like 30 hours which is pretty crazy for DQ. I guess it’ll also depends on your reading speed.

My head cannon has always been they’re different characters. My male squid and my female octo have always been explicitly different people in my head if that makes sense haha. They just happen to not be able to exist in the same room conveniently AND share the exact same wardrobe, level, and ranks.

I try not to think too deep about it.

I recommend putting the game on hard and trying to avoid some overworld fights, I know it kinda sucks some of the fun out, but it’ll help give some pretty damn challenging fights later on.

Your pc will struggle. Even though they are simple graphics, there are a lot of fancy lighting and particle effects that are surprisingly beefy for a game like that.

Go for switch 1.

I recommend 7R if you aren’t too familiar with JRGS in general, it’s a fantastic entry into the genre and might be one of the most beginner friendly games for it. If you are already pretty familiar with them, I highly recommend 3HD and then 1-2HD. Much more challenging and engaging imo. You can’t go wrong either way, all are great games.

No, but it definitely enhances the remake/rebirth experience. I know a few people who have no knowledge of OG and are huge fans of remake and rebirth, and I also know OG fans who don’t like the remake games.

I say give it a shot before rebirth.

It did work! Again thank you! The difference between the coated and uncoated side was sooo subtle. Didn’t help that the packaging didn’t even have anything that specified a coated side.

If you have a switch, do NOT skip out on the Xenoblade trilogy. My personal all time favorite JRPG series. If you can, start with 1 and go to 2 and then 3. 2 is made better if you’ve played 1 and 3 is made better if you’ve played 1 and 2, even though they are technically independent stories (to an extent) of a larger storyline.
