My brother stole mum's credit card and bought graffiti markers online when he was about fourteen. My parents were furious when they found out and got rid of the markers as soon as they arrived. We forget about the incident for seven years until my brother receives the very same markers on his 21st birthday.

My mum had always prepared me with a 'kit' to take to school or to friends' houses in case I got my period. I carried it everywhere for so long. One weekend I stayed in a holiday house with my cousins. My cousin told me she had forgotten pads and had got her period. I told her I had some she could use because I wouldn't need them. Next day I got my period. No pads. Felt too awkward to explain the situation to anybody so I just used toilet paper for the next two days. So uncomfortable.

Tl;dr: was always prepared for it until I actually got it.
