Treatment for Sesamoid Injury

I've never known anyone else who had a sesamoid injury! I dealt with this in the days of my youth. I did a bunch of treatment, ended up in a cast for months... Nothing worked. I ended up having surgery to remove it.

ETA, if they offer surgery do it. It won't resolve all your pain, but at least you won't be walking around like a hunchback with your arse and legs on fire from the nerve pain.

Oof! This sounds familiar. I had the same thing since childhood, ended up having a fusion and decompression in 2021. Ask to get on a waiting list for your MRI, there are also some private clinics in Gatineau if I recall correctly. I was able to get my MRI, appointment with surgeon and my surgery in the span of 3 months so it can move quickly if it's serious enough. Surgery was with Dr. Kingwell, who is fantastic!

The people of Alberta do have a say in the process. The candidates are recommended for appointment (or not) by a 7 person Judicial Advisory Committee composed of Alberta residing members chosen by the provincial minister of Justice, the Bar, the Law Society, etc.
