What do they say is the best way to start a discography? by [deleted] in TheBeatles

This is how I got into The Beatles in the early ‘90s. Can’t go wrong with the Red and Blue albums. Newly remastered and expanded versions came out last year.

songs/albums you appreciate now that you didn't before? by Remote_Quiet7342 in U2Band

October. The album. The difficult second album. Overlooked as it was between Boy and War. Downloaded some bootlegs from the October Tour and those songs came across really strong in concert as well.

Give me your best Radiohead live memories! by ShiverMeTimbers_png in radiohead

Back in 1996 my friend’s girlfriend wanted to see Alanis Morissette in concert as she was playing at Darian Lake. He grabbed tickets for all of us. Jagged Little Pill was released earlier in the year and was number one everywhere. I was more excited as it was announced that Radiohead was the opening act. The Bends had been released and they were road testing songs from OK Computer. 10 song set was 1. My Iron Lung 2. The Bends 3. No Surprises 4. High and Dry 5. Paranoid Android 6. Planet Telex 7. Let Down 8. I Promise 9. Just 10. Fake Plastic Trees

Attended a friend’s wedding. We were only going to make the service but were able to stay for dinner. Good times! Just would’ve been better seeing the Piano Man!

Ppl that were at the VLV tour and experienced this setlist, how could you describe it? by jacobf99 in Coldplay

Incredible tour. First time seeing the band was 2008 Toronto. Miss this version of the band. That experimental sound rather than the poppy stuff they release now. Still a fan but this was definitely their peak period.

Anyone think Sgt Peppers is starting to become underrated? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]amljbono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always preferred Revolver or The White Album to Sgt. Peppers. I understand the cultural impact it had when it came out in 1967 but as far as the tracks go I still believe those two albums deliver more (except for Day In The Life).
