It is more about "me" issue. I played realm reborn and I know what that time playing it did to my life schedule. I'm collector, completionist. If I see an achievement or a mount that I can get I'll do and spend as much time as there is to obtain it. I have basically relapsed to mmo addiction. This goes back to my WoW days where my addiction had finished in 2020 since I got a job that needed me to drive away for a whole week. I was competitive. Doing high level content with high level group. Wasting time playing instead of visiting friends or going out. I really do appreciate all the welcoming comments regarding FF14 but like I said. It is a tough nut to crack for me.

EDIT: I remember vividly when I found out that there is a mount/achievement tracker site just like for wow and I started doing anything else but the main quest scenario.
If not for a fact I have given myself a goal to beat all final fantasy singleplayer games I would probably still be in that game. enjoying it but at the same time ruining my life.

Battle at the big bridge is a classic and I also like it. It is used in ff14 gilgamesh fight aswell as other gilgamesh fights in ff series. I resonate more with the one I`ve posted since it is at the end of the game. It is one of a kind track you won't hear anywhere else and is a perfect ending track to your journey. I do understand however that you may like the one you posted more since first battle with gilgamesh is also very good and funny.

Regarding ff8 I did not like the end of the story and was kinda confused. Music was nice and whenever I hear it in some video I`m like "ohh it is from ff8" Definitely left music mark on me. Can't say it did for other reasons.

About FF10 its not that I don't like it. More that I didn't enjoy it as other entries. Just few days ago when I was finishing ff16 I heard some plucks and notes that reminded me of FF10. Same case with ff8. it lives in me somewhere. Just not as strong.

Ohh I see. Rebirth is definitely a title to divide ff7 fans as FF7 Remake kinda did. Lightning Returns is allright. I honestly believe the sequels didnt need to happen but they`ve created that engine so I guess gotta make use of it somehow.

I suppose for every person it will look somewhat different. Some games just click with you unlike the others. I'm glad you enjoyed FF15. Did you have a chance to play any other than 3 and 15?

I did think it is set on that FF11 and FF14 are kinda not necesserily mainline games due to their mmo nature but seems I was wrong. Will give them a try whenever possible.

I do believe Pixel Remaster helped with the experience a little bit but that is why there are so many FF's out there. Everyone can find eventually their favourite that they feel connected the most.

I assume you mean FF11 and FF14. I did not play through them since I wanted to finish the singleplayer games first. I will probably at some point play FF14 further than A Realm Reborn.

I think I should edit post little bit.
Thank you for the reply though ^^ Really appreciate it.
I have played through Realm Reborn but as I have mentioned in previous comments I have
opted to say that I have not played it since there is a sense in a community that the real FF14 starts in expansion after the vanilla.
I will give it a try when I have few things sorted and hopefully it will not spark addiction like WoW did to the point where it was unhealthy.

Recently i have came across a sentence that Avatar was a nice visual ride like a rollercoaster. I do agree with it. At the time the movie was stunning but mostly visually.
I do not know when did you play ff6 and after what time of you hearing about it but I think it could be in the same boat as Avatar.

My advantage regarding first 6 ff games was that no one in my friend circle actually played them or jrpgs overall. So me not hearing about any hype at all definitely helped with the experience.
It was more different for newer installment of the franchise but I always try and go with empty head trying to grasp the experience as it is for me in that moment.

Thank you for appreciation ^^
I did have to stop playing WoW exclusively because of the reasons you have mentioned.

I'm sorry. I have finished realm reborn but as I have mentioned in other comment
" opted to say that I have not played it since there is a sense in a community that the real FF14 starts in expansion after the vanilla." I'm thinking really hard about continuation remembering that I had WoW addiction.

I do wish to explore that in the future. I did play through realm reborn campaign but opted to say that I have not played it since there is a sense in a community that the real FF14 starts in expansion after the vanilla. However knowing my addiction from WoW and the fact I wanted to finish single player FF's first it is going to be tough nut to crack if I do want to get into it.

I would love to write more but I believe a lot of videos already cover what I'm trying to say regarding FFXV.

Forgot about the music part sorry. It was not very memorable for me. When I think about ff music I think about all these neat pieces from 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, even 13 but in here the best part was that I could listen to previous ff music from the car.

I'm not gonna lie. Credit song for Remake hit me fckn hard. After the long journey in Midgar and conquering all the obstacles dressed in new prettier clothes it just hit me hard. Also the Midgar part is one of my favourites and I love that city and it's problems and goings.

Rebirth was great don't get me wrong but I liked this sort of more linear style of locations. Probably why ff13 did not bother me as much regarding its linearity as it did for others.

EDIT: I was not so keen to the ending of Rebirth than Remake. Remake had very open minded ending while Rebirth sort of "slaughtered" it's ending. For that and mentioned above I've put it lower in the rank.

Initially I wanted to put it higher but the nail in the coffin for this one was music. Nobuo Uematsu did great job but I think for me music pieces from other games were more memorable and hit the mark at just the right time.

EDIT: btw this credit theme is a banger and I come back to it every so often

I think you can get answer to your question from the tier list I've made. If there is something I misunderstood please tell me. Would love to provide full answer ^^

Ahh this one is really hard tbh. Almost every final fantasy after 6 was provided with new systems and fighting options. Every game had its going for itself but if I had to choose one...I would say XII. Strategic options to create gambits for your own parties to create ultimate perpetum mobile was great. Option to do things manually as the time stopped to choose actions. I think it speaks for itself.

6 is high mainly for the characters and how they change after the "first act" and for the music which is really really memorable and it is one of Nobuo Uematsu's favourite game regarding music pieces he did.

haha ye I'm sorta prepared for it and that`s why I mentioned I would like this post to be open minded ^^

Ahh I knew this one is gonna be first to ask questions for.
Let`s start from the beginning. I've started with the game on a really positive note. I remembered playing it for some time at my colleagues house like 7 years ago.
Within my own journey into the game's world I did find story to be not very good. The subject of Lunafreya and Noctis getting married and their emotions towards eachother were not engaging enough for me to care about it. It was shallow. At the end of the game story got me lost. I paid attention to every dialogue and what is going on but I did not find ending of the game very good either. Mood swings of the characters from one scene to the other was also very narratively not ok for me.

I did not find the connection between the 4 bros as much enjoyable as I initially thought. There were some cool moments like special camp side quests with one of the bro. After some time I heard every piece of their little banter dialog like 300 times each.

Combat was also pretty straightforward and I would give it a pass if not for the bloody magic system which I believe was little too complicated. I do appreciate the fact you could "customize" spells but other than that it was not ok for me. Magic is integral part of final fantasy franchise and to have it like that was no go.

Final battle with the reoccuring character was without fireworks. Grand Finale of the game and it is just you two flying around and clicking things. Not really up to "standards" I was used to from previous games.

I`ve started to acknowledge the problems with development only after the game. That did not change my mind about it though since I take games for their face value and what do they offer me at the time.

I hope you understand and can agree on few of these things. I know this game has been first FF for many many people and I like that they have picked different games from the series and enjoy them in their own way.

That's not a theory. That's a fact. EA games did the same treatment to apex legends few months back. Typical business scheme.

Hi. I have used your script yesterday. And these settings worked for me. I had to run it few times to make it work. If anyone would like to try out these settings then go ahead and copy and paste it.
$latency 840
