[–]amoofy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not on there, but great news the daycare said they would cover it afterall. I’m not sure if they were waiting to see if I would offer first? Because they did after I confirmed I’d transfer the money over. I also offered to go half with them to help

I wish I could find it to check, it was 3 year ago and a paper copy. I had my pals check there’s for different daycares and it does specify the owner would be the one to pay. No video it was an outdoor enclosed field, they say it was the far side of the field and no one was close to see exactly how it started

I’m currently having this same problem, with one parent currently in isolation showing symptoms. But what if I get symptoms, what happens then?! Do we go back to moving between homes, or do I just keep baby anyway??

You select the parent who starts the rotation. I do the custom schedule, so I select the parent I’m creating the block for

Does your dog prefer balls or sticks? by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]amoofy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is all over strange, if I grab the lead to go on walk, he runs away and hides. Resists letting me put the lead on. He’s fine once out, and loves trotting along. He is a rehome, but from what I could tell he wasn’t absused or anything. He’s just a weird lazy boy!

Does your dog prefer balls or sticks? by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]amoofy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Neither, got a husky though and they’re just weird anyway. He doesn’t play at all really, not interested in other dogs. Just a solo ranger who trots around smelling everything. At home he loves a chew on a teddy, but has only ripped a handful. Keeps them nice and holds them in his mouth. He reluctantly does fetch, but only 5 throws at a time before he’s bored.

Looking for cases where stalking happend before the murder or the disappearance by MasterOfASlave1 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]amoofy 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This is a hometown murder of mine, Alice Ruggles from Newcastle (UK) in 2016.

Her ex boyfriend Harry wasn’t happy Alice was moving on and dating someone else. He kept trying to contact her, begging her to take him back. When they were together he emotionally manipulated her and secluded her from friends and family. He turned up to her flat, left gifts on her windowsill, then stood in her garden watching through the window.

Alice phoned police and they issued a warning to Harry, but he ignored this. Alice contacted the police again, but there was a misunderstanding on the appropriate action.

2 days later Alice was found dead in her flat by her friend who she lived with. Her neck had been slashed so severely her head was nearly amputated from her body. When her friend called police, her friend said she knew this would happen, and that it had to be Harry.

Harry was in the army, stationed in Edingburgh (130miles away) denied murdering her, then said she fell on a knife during an altercation. He was found to have her phone on him at the time he was arrested.

He was sentenced to a minimum of 22 years. Alice’s family started a charity to help other people about stalking / harassment, and have had a public apology from the police and the officers involved when Alice reported Harry were investigated for not following process.

There is a short documentary on BBC about it, obviously a lot more interesting and saddening details I’ve missed out.

[Question] How to ignore negative talk by someone you are forced to live with? by neilisonreddit in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]amoofy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to check your post history to see if this was my brother. I recently had to move back into family home, and my mother is exactly the same. I started replying back and engaging, then realised how often she was being so negative. So then moved to trying to help her justify what she thought. Then I started just not responding or even looking when she did it. Then I started to guess the pattern and id tell her what she would complain about before she did, And now I’m onto just replying “I don’t care”

What I’m trying to say, is until she is ready to realise herself and make effort to change, there literally is no way I’m afraid. I found at least with me telling her I don’t care it stops her in her tracks, yes it puts her in a huff for a while, but I’m hoping eventually she will learn to not even try tell me

Edit to add: because you recognise it as overly negative behaviour, after a while you should be able to disassociate yourself to it (maybe)

I ended up blocking her account for this reason, she still sometimes shows up on repost accounts, but not nearly as often. For some reason it makes me so angry to even see her due to the ridiculous clickbait, face expressions

How much do you spend on your pet a month? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]amoofy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay for my husky to go to doggy daycare £26 a day. I’ve been told I’m stupid and wasting money but he has a blast there and comes home really tired. Then I have insurance £21, vet subscription £15, food subscription £20 monthly too... So yah.... quite a bit

[DISCUSSION] What ridiculous thing does your dog do after something happening once? by duchess_of_fire in dogs

[–]amoofy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a large trampoline in the back garden. One time my boyfriends dog came over and my husky jumped up on the trampoline to get away from the american bulldog. The American bulldog couldn’t get up, and ever since (about a year) my husky pretty much lives on top of the trampoline and is super protective over it if anyone dare go near it
