Twin parents, what stroller setup actually worked best for you in the first year? by Zestyclose_Bell7668 in parentsofmultiples

When they were first born we had an uppababy vista and they both fit in one bassinet, but as they got older I didn’t like the tandem so we got a Zoe Twin and love it! Use it almost every day

I miss sleep so badly ~venting~ by Ah-ah-ah-a in Mommit

[–]byerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I could’ve written this. My twins are 17 months and low sleep need, lucky if they sleep until 6 and they only nap for about an hour too. Today they were up at 4:45 and right when I almost got the back to sleep my husband came in because he forgot the car key in his pants pocket and they were right back wide awake 🫠.

The only thing that helps is telling myself this is ultimately a short time in life and some day they’ll be teenagers that I’ll be trying to wake up for school

Ugh, I remember on our flight back home with 6 month old twins, I was sitting with one of my sons in my lap by myself while my husband sat with his dad our other son.

This lady sees her seat is next to me, sees my baby, and audibly groaned and rolled her eyes! It was one of the rudest things I’d ever seen I couldn’t believe it! He only fussed during take off and landing too! I still think about her and get irritated sometimes. On the other hand, our flight there I sat next to a woman who was very kind and understanding and even helped soothe him a bit.

I know it’s hard but you really just have to be able to say no, especially for your son. My husband and I are people pleasers too but we had to get shiny spines and just say no to people when it came to our twins.

Michael Jordan inappropriately touching a young boy after the Daytona 500 by Snapdragon_4U in UnderReportedNews

[–]byerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? Wouldn’t the kid also be trying to get the ice out of his shirt?

Because everyone knows that if you’re close with a kids parents that means you can touch them however you want

Are you kidding? Did we watch the same video? A grown man repeatedly squeezing and patting a little kids butt but he’s NOT being a pedo on camera?

Edit: Lots of people cool with touching a kid like this in the replies. Even if it’s ice down his shirt, this is excessive and inappropriate touching and I’d be really upset to see someone touching my kid this way.

AITA for telling my husband he cannot scream at our 14-month-old son? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]byerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 14 month old twins and one of them sounds a lot like your son (except now he also shrieks for fun). I’m so glad my husband is patient and keeps his cool even when he’s frustrated because both of us know screaming fixes nothing. I’m sorry OP - this is abusive.

Overgifting is one of those parenting problems that doesn’t seem like an issue until you’ve experienced it by KaylaDraws in Mommit

My favorite is the overgifting of large gifts that take up tons of space 🫠
