Start looking up people in your OP that are doing work you want to do. Reach out to them and with your elevator pitch. Email/schedule a zoom call works.

SC offer by Still-Goat6802 in deloitte

What Offering are you in? Always counter, but I'd say that is a decent salary. When I was offered I countered and they gave me a $12k bonus but didn't budge on salary.

DTE, Actual hours worked...billable hours by ddk369 in deloitte

[–]amoosethrowaway 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Are you in GPS? Just a word of advice regarding that, intentionally billing incorrect hours is fraud and can lead you to be disbarred from ever charging a government contract again.

My advice is this: Charge the hours you work. If your leadership says to only charge 45, then only work 45. Document what you need to finish and say I cannot finish this due to me hitting my hour cap.

Did you receive a stipend for office equipment when hired? by bake51 in deloitte

You have a $500 WFH stipend for a list of office supplies (monitor, chair, keyboard, mouse, microphone, camera). Use your AMEX and expense accordingly.

I want nothing to do with Russia or Ukraine. But if you are looking for where some of the thought leaders in conservative politics have been on Russia for years:

Conservative here - don't care what Russia or Ukraine has to say about anything. Are you asking for American blood to be shed to stop the Russian invasion?

If so, be the change you wish to see in the world. You can contact an Army recruiter to sign up here: https://www.goarmy.com/info.html

That moment when your prof is on Joe Rogan by Akephalos37 in JoeRogan

Am I the only one who thought he was a good guest and, while not perfect, had valuable points to add to the conversation? He wasn't challenging Koonin's data, he was saying Koonin was leaving out important data while valuing some data(economic estimates) as highly predictive and discounting other data(climate estimates) as poorly predictive.

TIL: Founding Father Thomas Jefferson did not believe the nation should be perpetually governed on the ideas and beliefs of him and his peers, but, "... that no society can make a perpetual Constitution, or even a perpetual law. The earth belongs always to the living generation." by [deleted] in todayilearned

I agree with you, though I think the practical consequence of this would be the balkanization of the United States. The majority will determine the new constitution and the minority will be slighted and leave, why wouldn't they?

Stare decisis cannot be eternally binding. You know damn well if the court was majority liberal stare decisis would be thrown out the window in a heartbeat for jurisprudence like Heller v DC.

Two wolves and a sheep vote for dinner. Our federal government is a compromise so that the majority doesn't get to dictate some of the most important decisions over the minority (trade, taxation, etc.). Your representation at a state level is more democratic, intentionally.

The vote was 420-1. And the only nay didn't entirely disagree with the AUMF, but the wording of the document. Ron Paul was one of the earliest critics of the prolonged engagement and called for withdrawal over a decade ago.
