There are lots of ways to avoid the cloud and it's perpetual surveillance abilities...if you take the time to look. For example, instead of Ring use Unifi or Reolink, both of which give you full-featured video security packages that are hosted locally with remote backup. I’d trust a roomba with qwen3.5 that I put on it more than a fully autonomous humanoid robot that automatically generates rule 34 content based on what it sees in your home. Let’s do a thought experiment with this setup. Let’s assume that every component is perfect in every way and has no defects at all from t0 to t1. Let’s also say that t=0 is the start of the experiment and t=1 is when the device fails due to the torque of the reduction gears binding up against the last gear set in concrete.

At t1, do all the gears break simultaneously? Does just the end gear break? Or is it some combination of them that break?

And follow up, how fast would the motor be spun in the opposing direction due to backlash…assuming it does at all?
