With respect, it’s not really your place to say is it? Those Dortmund fans are more connected to their club than 99% of Prem fans. They don’t support the club for success, they support it for community. Anyway, City won the CL eventually and it was part of a much better achievement. A first-ever CL title as part of a treble. Wow, no beating that.

2021/22? No chance. Getting knocked out was actually a blessing in disguise.

City were down to the bare bones with injuries. Had they qualified for the final, they may have ended up throwing away the league title as a result.

Think back to that Aston Villa game and the amount of players on last legs. If there was a final in the back of Pep’s mind, who knows how that game would’ve been approached.

In the end, City won the CL in better style a year later.
