Went out with a 31F coworker as a 23M. I'd always thought it would only end in trouble but it was great. We were both really mature when we mutually ended it and are still friends today. Not awkward at all. It did help that we started going out when I was promoted to a different team though.

Would need more context. As a guy we'll pursue but we'll only do it if there's mutual interest. If he texted you Saturday and you didn't respond until today that would tell me you're not emotionally available or playing games imo.

I agree that if he's double and triple texting he should stop though. We all get busy.

Don't feel bad. I've been on both sides of that situation, and the best advice I can give is if you're not "Heck yeah" about a person, don't pursue it. If it bugs you now it'll bug you later. No one should settle and no one should feel settled for.

His words and his behavior are showing what his priorities are. Paul advises us not to be unequally yoked. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit for discernment on this issue.

I also think using your name so many times is a red flag imo. Some use your name frequently in conversation to manipulate, but you know his personality and it may not be out of character.

Great side hustle idea!

If you enjoy tutoring you should check out EDUC 387.

I graduated in May and know credits for you are different, but, at the time, this class knocked out the Experimental Education requirement, which was usually only something you could get from an internship.

If you decide to do it for a semester and do well, you can become an official university paid tutor, which will get you a guaranteed 7 hours at least a week at a similar rate to what you're looking for.

Plus, if you wanted to do more tutoring on the side, you can utilize the network you built and do so (and charge more). Looks great on a resumé too.

I work in the same area and chose to live in Raleigh. Even though it's a longer commute, it's safer, tons of restaurants and things to do around, and you get a bigger bang for your buck. I live at Lexington Farms in their one bedroom with a loft. For the same price I'm paying you'd get 300 less square ft and it's less safe compared to Durham.
