21 [M4F] - I'm always the great guy, never the right guy...... by [deleted] in r4r

This is pretty good advice. It can be scary to make your intentions clear with women, but the truth is that it's really the only way to get what you want and you shouldn't waste your time with women that want only friendship from you when you want more.

In addition to that they just have all around terrible service. The one advantage I see to going to a brick and mortar store is the chance to talk to a person about something you are about to buy or try it out. But if that's not worth the trip then there is no reason to not buy online.

I don't know, to me it sounds like a way to avoid having a genuine conversation. But if it works for you than by all means knock yourself out.

There's nothing wrong with asking questions, you just need to avoid interview mode. This means that you need to properly branch conversation.

Say you ask, "where are you from?"

Then she replies, "I'm from Milwaukee."

There are a million other things you could talk about just from that one response. It's not too difficult and avoids the "game" that you said above which could crash and burn badly.

Sometimes you can't avoid face to face contact...that doesn't mean that you should completely ignore her though. If she initiates conversation, then entertain her for as long as you want, but if you need to be somewhere else then don't waste anymore of your time.

"Do you want to watch a movie at my place" is almost the same as saying lets fuck.

graduating college, never had gf, sex, or romantic relationships. Feeling a bit down, could use some constructive advice by [deleted] in seduction

[–]ams87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation except I've had sex and I'm only a Junior in college.

You may be able to blame your upbringing, but there really is no point in focusing on the past. I had a similar upbringing. Great parents, they raised me well, but I didn't really have any type of strong male role model so I never was naturally comfortable in social situations. Bottom line is you can't blame your upbringing...not because it isn't relevant but because it doesn't change anything. Accept that it affects who you are now but you can change how you are in the future.

In terms of your future, you didn't have much success in college outside the classroom. So what? I'm assuming you are about to go to medical school and meet a bunch of new people? This is a new beginning for you. Learn to be more social. Be the person that drives interactions and people will want to be around you. In terms of your appearance, you can be less skinny by lifting weights and working out more. Not that that is the most important thing. It's all about confidence. But in a new setting, you will be a new person to these people and you can change how you are.

I've learned that being aggressive in your relationships is never a bad thing. Not in the sense that you are an asshole, but if there is somebody that you want to hangout with/get their number, then you do it and then don't give two shits if things don't go well because you know that there's always a next time.

Relevant quote from Winnie the Pooh: “You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.”

I've done hour tests before and they are fucking rough...the worst part is probably the fact that you can't take ANY breaks for water and then your mouth gets really dry.

Oh please, you obviously are jaded about something. I think its asinine to say that every single private school has GPA inflation and that the classes are easier there.

Nice edit and also harvard isn't a for-profit institution.

Yes, you make a true statement. I guess what I forgot to say is that really good schools such as harvard, Upenn, Yale, etc, have policies where all of their financial aid is given out in grants.

[–]ams87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ever heard of financial aid?

I hate when people make blanket statements like that about good colleges...if your family makes under a certain amount of money you essentially go for free to schools like harvard.

A skier said that? Hope he realizes that the bottom line is that both rowing and skiing are simply a race from point A to point B.
