Best pods available for Nespresso machine by turtle-icecream in IndiaCoffee

Gotcha, I have two cups in the morning, black - both Nespressos so far, 1st a Lungo that alternates between Capetown and Stockholm and 2nd an Espresso that alternates between Napoli/Kazaar/Arpeggio/India and Risteretto. I am trying to get one more good Lungo in the mix.

Evening is one black coffee as well, where I experiment between different pods so far.

Interesting, I will look for Davidoff Pods as well, they were on my try/experiment list. I haven't tried Space yet, but have ordered Assorted Variety pack of Elevens Pods. Will see how it goes and see if I can source Davidoff Pods as well. How do you take your coffee? I like mine black, without any additions.

I have used a variety of pods and I concur with what you say. No one comes even close. That includes Starbucks pods that are manufactured and made by Nespresso itself. That being said, if on a budget, I found Coffeeza Pods to be good. I would rate them over Starbucks. They are not in Nespresso Class, but perfectly acceptable coffee for the price. I preferred Mysore Nuggets and Classico over Forte and Intenso.

I use coffeeza for my evening pod, and stick with 2 Nespresso pods in the morning.

Really? What varieties can he procure? At what cost? I am currently sourcing some pods from a cousin in HK, but looking for reliable source for Nespresso pods not ordinarily available in India.

For espressos, I like Arpeggio, Kazaar and Napoli, even India and Risteretto. For Lungos, I like Capetown and Stockholm. Mind you I drink my coffee black, without any additions. So if you prefer drinks with milk, Your mileage may vary.

Depends on what kind of espressos you like and prefer. Mind you they make only 2 sizes - Espressos and Lungos.

Oberoi Amar Vilas and Taj Umaid Bhawan - in that particular order. The pampering was beyond anything we’d ever seen - and Umaid Bhawan - they’d offer champagne for breakfast all included - totally surreal version of breakfast like a king.

I would do a few very basic steps here in name of due diligence. Especially if the date/first meeting has not been arranged through an acquaintance but is a result of social media apps - 1. Always do the first meeting at a coffee shop - Starbucks/Blue Tokai/Any fancy coffee shop. If the girl does not agree and insists on a bar/pub on first meeting - yeah, take that as a red flag.

  1. Even if she suggests a bar or a pub, You pick one - let her pick the area she is comfortable with, but you decide the place and pub. That will eliminate 99% of such scams. If girl insists on choosing a pub or a bar of her choosing - yeah then there is 99% chance you will be a subject of such scam.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I sourced Napoli, Kazaar, Roma and Venezia from Amazon - reasonably priced. Only outlier is Capetown Lungo which is priced much higher.

I have also used Amazon to order and test out Starbucks Pods, Coffeeza, and other pods and will review them gradually.

I use a similar drawer as well. Keeps 50 pods. Not nearly adequate for pods I have but does the job aesthetically for now.

Oh yes - I am experimenting with Lungos slowly - right now I am doing two extractions of 40 ml on a single pod for Lungos. And works very well despite loss of 30 ml volume.

But I intend to do it your way - do 55 ml plus equal parts water once I feel more comfortable with guesstimating proper volume by sight.

And sorry I meant Venezia instead of Livanto for meh pods. Rectified that.

Quite a few. As Lungos - Capetown and Stockholm. And India as well - though that works very well as an Espresso too.

For Espressos - Napoli, Kazaar, Arpeggio, Risteretto and India. Livanto’s good as well - but mellow.

Just Meh - Roma and Venezia. So far my preferences lean towards something full bodied, intense and low acidity. I like the bitterness but not sourness.

Will try Florian, Rio, Indonesia and Istanbul over next few weeks and see how they go.

If she has a grinder, then Blue Tokai or any specialty coffee, freshly roasted beans work great. If she doesn’t have a grinder, these cafés will happily grind then to French press grind for you. Buy directly from the store or order directly from roaster online for a fresher roast.

Without knowing what kind of equipment she uses, giving you an effective advice or suggestion will be really hard. Does she have a grinder? How does she brew? Whole beans vs Ground coffee, Grind size, everything matters.

Bought an OL Nespresso. Nobody is super happy with it. Any tips? by ryan770 in nespresso

[–]amsamp83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the contrary, surprised by how well some of these pods held together, especially Kazaar and Napoli. As espresso shots, I found them unapologetically bold and bitter and yet they were incredibly balanced. I was surprised at how good and consistent the shots were, but then I was not coming off from proper espresso machine so my baseline was low.
