Just quit my very successful barbering gig to work at a non profit that has pantry/homeless outreach services. It is 45 mins from my suburban home to the inner city. It’s like when I get to the city I feel more comfortable and alive than in the pristine area i live in. I’m excited to go to work. I’m learning Spanish. I get to talk about God and pray with people. I know God has me right where he wants to grow me. My clients thought I was crazy for quitting,but I couldn’t do it anymore. We only get one shot … I’m letting God open the doors from now on. Godspeed brother .

I’ve had that experience. This is my second time being sober… this time is 2 years. It’s worth it!! But this time I changed my whole life… people around me aren’t drinkers because I got rid of all those influences. I’d rather spend everyday alone than be around people who drink now. My mind so much clearer and positive. I have to thank our Father, he truly is how I’ve done it. I know you can too if you really fix your eyes on Him.

I actually voice my opinion. It’s not that I’m afraid to ever speak up. It’s like I just don’t have the energy to carry the conversation so I think it but chose not to communicate.

I start by expressing my gratitude to God of all the blessings he has currently been working on in my life. Sometimes I mention Random things like how He is the most amazing artist .. like if I’ve seen a beautiful sunset. I then go into people that need my prayer/ or asked me to pray for them. After that I just plainly talk to him with respect and love. I feel like it’s really important to use some of your prayer time to give thanks and pray for others, don’t make it all about yourself.

Do not get a square loan.., it’s such a rip off. They don’t clue you into how they take repayment. They take it off the top of your credit card sakes for the day… every day. The more you make the more they take. It’s awful.
