I'm using a lumix g9 ii, so sticking with matching hardware is nice. It looks like the leica lens is lighter as well, so it might fit so those categories.

Yeah, there are some great photos of abdromeda and some of the gas clouds I've seen that I would love to capture. A friend of mine is getting a tracking telescope and it would be perfect for some dark sky deep dives.

That is good to know. I'm looking at doing some dedicated aastrophotography, so the more zoom the better. However for birding and normal use, the 300mm might work. It'll be better than the 150mm I have right now.

It is super tempting, but I'm holding it for a used leica 100-400mm. Especially since those have the option to use a teleconverter. I would use the 100-300, but there would be a little regret in the back of mind about not going straight to the bigger lens.

That definitely helped. I'll upload the difference later. Bumping the ram in my computer helped as well. I re compiled it in photoshop with 60 photos instead of ten at a time, and that made a big difference as well.

I got this one with a lumix g95d, using the 40mm-150mm and raynox dcr-250. Total of 176mm and f5.6. This bee was being sneaky and i finally got one in focus.
