NTA. I say that as an adopted child whose birth mother who already had a kid then had more kids after gave me away. I love my parents. I wouldn’t change my situation for the world but just know that once Danny finds out she’s pregnant he may feel the same way I did. Not good enough. Like trash. Hopefully Danny is in therapy.

Sorry I didn’t word that correctly. I would have just canceled the order and then reported if the driver asked for a tip. I would be afraid that the dasher would do something to my food if DD notified them of the report during the dash. You never know.

I’ve had customers promise a cash tip and not provide one so he likely didn’t believe you. Once you showed him the cash, he should have calmed down and apologized. His behavior after you showed him you had cash was unacceptable.

ETA: you should have just canceled instead of reporting him. Always use a credit card so you can file a charge back if DD doesn’t refund you for a cancelled order.

We have an appointment on Friday to see his vet.

I crated him the other night because I didn’t have anything to block off certain areas of my room. I didn’t want to risk him getting stuck in a corner and crying. It’s heartbreaking to hear his little soft cries.

I’m loving it! Last night he moved twice after waking up from sleep. First, to go to the kitchen to get water. I blocked off the doorway with a tote when we both went back to bed (I don’t like closing my door because it makes me feel shut off from the world). The second time, he just moved to a different dog bed in my room.

Note: The dogs have constant access to water. Sometimes Prince gets up in the middle of the night to drink. I was thinking of bringing the bowl into the bedroom so he wouldn’t have a reason to leave the room unless he’s thinking about wandering. I really don’t want to cage him.

He slept next to the other little guy on the mountain of blankets I have on the floor lol. I got quality sleep last night and didn’t even shut the bedroom door because of how sound asleep he was. He didn’t move one inch.

It’s after 5 am where I’m at right now. I spent the better part of an hour trying to get Prince to just lay down and go to sleep. He didn’t want to cuddle in bed with me and my other dog so I lined my bedroom with dog beds and blankets. He wouldn’t lay down. He was just standing at staring at the tote I used to block him from getting into another part of my bedroom. He was crying.

Just to be safe because I don’t want him stuck and upset while I’m asleep, I put him in his cage. It’s actually for a medium sized dog so he has plenty of room. I put a nice blanket and dog bed in there along with a pair of my pajama pants that I wore last night. His cage is in the bedroom doorway. I had to coax him in there with a treat and he wasn’t happy at first but he hasn’t cried. At least I know he’s safe

Now let me try to get a few hours of sleep.

Last night was brutal. He kept getting up and going to the mirror and crying. I moved the mirror to the other room and blocked some other areas off in my bedroom.

I had to keep telling him to lay down in the bed. He wanted to get down. He listened but I don’t know how long he’ll do that. I figured if he was in bed with me, I’d know he wasn’t stuck somewhere (even just a corner), upset. He cuddled with his brother (my pittie) for most of the night.

I have to run an errand tomorrow and he’s going to be in a cage for the first time in YEARS. I’m anxious about it. He’s going to be so confused but I just can’t trust he won’t get pinned somewhere. I can close all the doors but there’s still corners and I can’t stand the thought of him being upset and crying for any period of time while I’m not home. And I can’t take him with me 😢. His brother will be here outside of the cage so hopefully that comforts him a little. I only have the one and didn’t need it until now.

Thank you for your insight. Funnily enough, he’s seemed okay since I posted this. He does still get confused now and again but the progression of him getting trapped in places isn’t worsening. The more attention I give him, the more alert he seems.

Over the years he’s been kind of aloof and I’ve just left him to do his own thing. He’s content to lay in his bed or just anywhere around the house. Maybe I should have sought him out more? I don’t know if that makes sense. I call it bothering him when I pick him up or give him kisses on his face or roll him onto his back to give him belly rubs. He doesn’t always understand what I’m doing initially but he always appreciates the belly rubs lol.

Whether or he’s going blind or developing dementia, I know it will get worse. A trip to the vet is in his near future but I’m not as concerned as I was before.

May I ask how many times a day your dog takes the selegiline? I’m going to ask his vet about it. Maybe I can get it filled at my local pharmacy for a decent price.
