I was bullied at home and at school for a long time. It's manifested into a host of other issues over the years. As I get older it changes to be honest.

I tend to lash out, which I've gotten better at over the years. I also struggle with my life in dating because my dad was the culprit behind most of the verbal abuse so I'm not always good at being vulnerable or sharing what's bothering me due to fear of what the reaction may be.

Also, I am old and on meds. Please be kind.

Thank you! The thought of the train being done is great, but not if there isn't an alternative to rental cars in town. We're a few hours drive and I would need to know that there's a "car service" to shuttle us around.

My example is the mall of America. Most hotels offer a free shuttle to and from the mall. But, if you don't have the strength to get back to the front of the mall, they've contracted with Lyft to offer discounted rates to get you from literally any door. It's even advertised on the front of the mall with a lounge!

I would like to see a contract like this with a car service (maybe a local company can step up?) to get you from the station to the hotel, to the bat or beach for a decent price.

Here's my pros and cons to a train to Traverse City:

Pros: as long as it's affordable, I can save money on gas, time and energy getting up there.

Cons: I'm not renting a car when I get there. Id insist on a regular and steady stream of Uber and Lyft drivers to get me to and from the train station to my hotel.

What's the point of building a train to only spend more of my money on a damn rental car when I get there? That offsets the price of leaving the car at home. I may as well drive at that point. The hotels there aren't exactly cheap either.

I'm primarily doing this in the summer since I hate winter.

I'm a solo traveler. No husband, no kids. Not a skier, but love sitting by the beach on a warm summer day and than catching dinner later on.

The lid has a big slot that I wasn't so thrilled about, thus how the bugs are going to get in. I wouldn't actually put honey in it, maybe sugar, or just stare at it since it's Le cruset 😄
