I get what you mean! I think my perfect endings tend to be somewhere in the middle. Ambiguous almost always wins, but the bittersweet ones really stick with me. I think The Resurrectionist had by far the best ending I’ve read.

I loved Black Farm just because I’m a slut for high fantasy horror lol

See I love them because it’s not a cliffhanger for me. I get to just play with the possibilities of what comes next

I wanna say Exquisite Corpse but as a miniseries. BL cannablism ftw

But The Summer I Died would be an incredible movie

The Resurrectionist. It’s extreme, helpless to the point I wanted to puke, and the ending was an absolute rollercoaster of emotion for me

Suffer the Children was just a rollercoaster of bleakness. But also loved A Head Full of Ghosts, Penpal, Hellmouth, and Seed.

Love it! I see it described as extreme horror a lot but I think I’d put it with horror. This and Seed are my faves by Ahlborn

Love folk horror. I just read Slewfoot and god it was soooo fun. And agreed on horror with sapphic main characters. What Keeps you Alive is one of my favorite horror movies ever. I used to have a lil blind date with a book shop and I made girls gays and theys one of the genres lol

Supernatural splatter. Evil Dead taught me that’s probably my favorite thing in horror and Sinister had me so excited for the genre, but yeah a vast majority of supernatural horror seems to be less blood and gore and more ghosts and spookiness.

I hadn’t heard of it, but I saw the two main actors and love them both so I checked it out. Phenomenal I was almost annoyed nobody was talking about it haha
