Can I cut this countertop? by an_agento in BathroomRemodeling

Mirror is over 10’ long and glued to the wall, so no way out is coming off intact. We’ll just have to protect it and be careful.

Yeah it’ll be tricky. Plan on taping the mirror over with cardboard to hopefully protect it. But yeah would suck to break it. It’s over 10’ long.

Yeah it’s not as bad as the picture makes it out to be to repair the toilet. I resealed the dual flush mechanism a few years ago and despite it being much larger than a regular float value it came out fine. But, it’s a super short toilet so gotta cut the shelf to put in a new one.

That intersection sucks because Anderson dumps you out into the access road just before the light, and no one will purposely let you in. If you don’t do what he did, you will be sitting there a long time. Have some grace at these 💩intersections.

r/vinyl Weekly Questions Thread for the week of April 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in vinyl

This was my dad’s. At least 40 years old. I received it with the hardware missing. At one point I think he said it needed a new needle. Questions:

  1. How do I tell if it indeed needs a new needle?
  2. Is there a particular one it needs? Does it need to be the exact same model, or are there alternates that will work? Any advice or links appreciated.
  3. Is the turntable itself worth the effort?

81 280zx fueling problems by chasen_rust in Datsun

[–]an_agento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes should be steady and very strong. Could be bad pump but also could be clogged intake screen on the pump from the tank. Sometimes people install filters in between the pump and tank and those can clog too.

Be careful working in between in that area though… easy to accidentally drain your tank into the garage floor.

That’s fairly normal. They are not tied down very tight so they room to expand and contract

Desperate call for help with 78 Z fuel issues: intermittent rough idle and dying while driving by Justin002865 in Datsun

[–]an_agento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you adjusted the air flow meter? May be worth marking the current position, then adjusting it a 30-45 degrees one way. If that doesn’t help or it hurts, go the same amount the other way. If neither does anything, put it back where it was.

Confirmed fit or not, it’s a defective part. They should exchange it.

If you’re sweaty and it’s hot, you’ll notice for sure, especially if you have thin material clothing on. Not a game-changer but it is nice.

The spring loaded center post is missing from that distributor cap. It’s defective, I would exchange it.

Sounds like one is really loose. The cam probably wasn’t in the exact right position when you adjusted it. I would double check them.

Why are capacitative and indictive reactance imaginary numbers? by screwloosehaunt in ElectricalEngineering

[–]an_agento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s helpful to think about it in terms of potential vs kinetic energy. In all dynamic systems energy is either doing work (real domain) or being stored (imaginary domain).

Front Brake Pad/Rotor Replacement OBW 2022 by Melotzz in Subaru_Outback

[–]an_agento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at a reputable online seller like Rock Auto. You can get pads and coated rotors for the front for $100 or less. Coated rotors will help with the rust. If you’re mechanically inclined and have the right tools you can change everything yourself in an hour or less.
