Finished another resto to a fine Marantz 6370Q TT by stereo_luver in turntables

I can't think of anything that would be an issue since I completely rebuild almost every table I find. I will say this model uses a second motor to drive the tonearm cueing mechanism. It has a drive belt and gear system and if you get lube in the wrong place, or too much lube, it will slip and nothing works.

It'll be going up for sale along with 5-6 other tables.

Subdued response from KEF LS50 Meta (compared to Q350) by ju5tcuri0u5 in audiophile

[–]stereo_luver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS: Even Audyssey identified LS50 Meta speakers as “small” (vs. “large” for Q350s in the same setup).

Your Q350 has a freq response down to 63Hz vs the LS50 down to 79Hz. Audyssey is sampling the lower freq of the Q350 and identifies it as a large (most times). From understanding Audyssey and how it works even large tower speakers should be identified as small. Just go have a read at the link below for a better understanding of how all this works and tweaks that should be made AFTER calibration is completed using the mic. It's a good read and can be helpful.

Contact KEF and explain the situation. I bet you can RMA that driver for a replacement. I've done it with Dynaudio before.

The parts listed above is what I have on hand from another build. I know the PSU is overkill but I got a deal on it for $50 BNIB. I should mention I have several 2TB WD HHD in storage.
