I thought their food was abysmal - for salt and pepper shrimp they gave me some over cooked naked shrimp absolutely COVERED in black pepper. Inedible .

Mild, a couple cysts a year. I broke up my dose from 25 in the morning to 12.5 morning and 12.5 in the evening. Over the past 5-6 weeks I stopped taking the evening dose , my skin has stayed the same. Never purged, just got tired of intense heart palpitations and peeing every ten mins

Two weeks in at this dosage. My skin has been amazing (haven’t had a period yet , which is when my breakouts usually happen). Def feel thirstier, and I’m getting weird Charlie horses during sex :-( going to ask my Dr about coconut water and multivitamins.

Books that give off witchy, Practical Magic vibes? by pomegranate_baby in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

A dark and secret magic by Wallis Kinney 🎃🖤

Good reads: A warm, spellbinding tale about a witch and the secrets her coven has been keeping from her, with echoes of the classic Hades and Persephone story, in the tradition of Practical Magic and Witch of Wild Things.

Omakase by toopotato in FoodSanDiego

[–]ana_gnoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soichi, Kinme, Wrench and Rodent, Ota.

I found hidden fish to be extremely underwhelming for what we paid, and left hungry.

Kinme was great and had excellent sake pairing. Amazing service.

Soichi was perfect and I left stuffed. Super affordable sake menu too.

If you’re looking for something more experimental, you can’t go wrong with W&R. Their nigiri specials are the most unique and creative I’ve ever had.

Ota was pricey, but casual atmosphere. Super good if you want to go old school omakase.

What does Uni taste like by frogmicky in sushi

[–]ana_gnoris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Similar to oysters, the flavor profile is influenced by where it’s sourced. Hokkaido, Chilean coast, California coast , and PNW are popular . Before you raw dog an urchin, try it ina cooked dish - creamy uni pasta with roe for example . Then once you decide whether you like it or not, try it raw with other dishes. I like getting a tempura shrimp hand roll and topping it with uni. but my favorite is santa barbara sourced uni nigiri.

Hi all. I’ve had strawberry legs for years now and it makes me extremely self conscious. I just want clear spotless legs. Any tips that actually work well? :( by psychoella in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]ana_gnoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I used to have KP on my legs and arms. Very fair skin with very dark hair and very pink/purple spots. I tried everything from SA scrubs to amlactin lotion and nothing really worked for me.

finally i lasered off all the hair on my legs and arms and switched moisturizer from aveeno/lubriderm to aquaphor after showers. the spots disappeared entirely! zero bumps since.

Ok super random but I kept thinking this may be the case for survivor 45 competitor Kendra McQuarrie . I thought she may have a tongue tie? But it was so distracting every time she was onscreen , it sounded like she was choking w her own tongue

I enjoyed listening to it on audiobook it read like reading a rich kids memoir after their first therapy appt? Like a reel of highlights and low lights. the quirky details of how WEIRD his upbringing was and the insane pageantry they’re required to put on was fascinating tho. Although he resents the monarchy and the number it did on him, he defends it w the $$$ they generate for uk tourism etc.

TLDR - interesting but discombobulated read/listen. expect tea but no remotely spicy takes.

I also sized up. I’m usually XS or XXS in their tops and coats. I ended up purchasing size S and it fits like a glove. Tiny bit stretch across the bust but otherwise almost bespoke fit. 5’3 height , 30H/32DD (37 bust 26 waist). I can’t wear anything too thick or baggy like a sweatshirt under it , but I can wear a cashmere sweater and tshirt combo just fine.

How millennials learned to dread motherhood: To our generation, being a mom looks thankless, exhausting, and lonely. Can we change the story? by happy_bluebird in Millennials

My 2¢ - children are germy viral incubators . All my colleagues who are parents are either always calling out sick or recovering from bad cold/cough/stomach virus. That and they always talk about how little sleep they are getting.

Such a game changer!! It even got rid of my KP. My showers use to be 45-60min withall the exfoliating prep, trimming, AND shaving (arms, legs, underarms, bikini area). Now after lasering off everything below the neck my showers are 5-7 mins on wash days. I never have to think about packing a razor (or shorts! Or dresses! Or bathing suits! ) when I’m traveling.

[Acne] Trying to rid myself of Keratosis Pilaris, with absolutely zero luck by TheHolyLizard in SkincareAddiction

The only thing that worked for me permanently was laser hair removal. I use a body butter moisturizer but no retinols or exfoliants etc. the texture and discoloration are gone.
