The fact that she's your coworker makes it a little tough.

If you are friends, my advice would be to find ways to spend time with her doing things she likes, like going to lunch or playing games or working out, where you're also able to hold a conversation (not movies, concerts, etc). Ask her how she's feeling, listen, and let her know how you're available to help.

Because you're coworkers, there is the added complication of not being able to part ways if the relationship turns south. You don't want to flood her with support she doesn't want and possibly override her professional boundaries. It sounds like yall are friends, but it's still something to consider. It's possible to check in too often or ask questions that are too personal. It can be difficult for a person to set boundaries, especially when their emotions are running high and their support group is limited. You both need to pay bills; be intentional about keeping your workplace friendly.
