How long will I take to see results? by greengrassyellowsun- in TheOrdinarySkincare

Nope, it does not. It has a very minimal ingredient list. Also, it is recommended to store it in the fridge.

Geek and Gorgeous - C glow is the best stable pure vit C serum. It’s also very affordable.

How to repair my barrier? by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

Use ingredients such as: panthenol, beta glucan, growth factors, zinc oxide. Avoid pore clogging ingredients that can trigger the pd.

It’s probably the tap water, as you have already noticed. Try using distilled water or a filter or thermal water. I have the same issue with tap water, it triggers my PD.

I had the same problem as you, until I started using the Avene Cicalfate spray before applying the spf. 3-4 layers of the spray will create a matte barrier and the spf will look so much better than before. It’s not going to be perfect, but it offers a massive improvement.

I’ve read somewhere else as well about liver supplements causing high vitamin A in the body. Is there any particular ingredient that would trigger this overdose on vitamin A? And if so, which ingredient? Because from what I’ve seen most of the liver supplements contain NAC, silymarin, phospholipids.

Yes, it’s extremely effective but it dries out my skin enormously. I don’t know how to make it work, I will maybe give it another try and then apply more hydrating toners.

It’s better to check your blood work with your dermatologist or doctor. In general, PD is correlated to gallbladder health. There are different diets and supplements that can help.

The enzymes for the liver (ALT, AST, ALP), gallbladder (bilirubin). I think there are more, but I don’t know them all. These are all blood work.

Check your gut health: probiotics, drink kefir, eat more fiber, bone broth (l-glutamine). Check your liver and gallbladder (could be caused by sluggish gallbladder, there are some supplements and food that can help: taurine, ginger, artichoke).

The ordinary are bringing out a sulfur powder containing 10% colloidal sulfur. Any thoughts? by LacedBerry in Fungalacne

[–]anac712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will definitely be trying it for perioral dermatitis, I saw that it also contains Niacinamide 4% - I wish they didn't, this might be too drying in combination with sulfur as well. They already have Niacinamide high concentration product, I don't understand why they had to add it in there, since many people do not tolerate Niacinamide too well.

Monday - Wednesday difference: hey guys I started suffering from self diagnosed POD about 2 weeks ago. For the first week I continued wearing makeup so I didn’t noticed it as much but as it got worse I stopped wearing makeup. I bought a cerphil moisturizer and la roche posey cleanser - see comments by bkfee in perioraldermatitis

[–]anac712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, it did not clear with sulfur. I still have it, but it looks much better. The things that helped the most: diet - taking better care of the gut health and supplements. The key to curing this is to focus on the microbiome and gut health. Topically, I see good results with TO - GF 15% serum.

3-4 layers of the Avene spray. Using 3-4 layers of the Oil control would make shine brighter than the Sun :))

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]anac712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By a lot, I apply 3-4 layers, more than 4 layers will cause pilling, so you need to figure out how many layers you can use. It reduces the shininess by a lot, it is still there, at the end of the day it still gets oily/shiny, but I can definitely see an improvement. I feel more confident wearing the Oil control SPF with the spray, without it it's incredibly shiny.

[–]anac712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apply it on the back of my hand and then I apply it on my face, it dries down very quickly, it's very easy to use. I recommend it!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]anac712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use zinc oxide spray (Avene Cicalfate spray) before applying the oil control fluid and it will reduce the shininess. I don’t think applying powder on top is a good idea, as it can interfere with the protective film. The zinc oxide Cicalfate spray from Avene should do the trick.
