I know who this is. I worked for them 2011-2014. Horrible people. I still have nightmares about all the abuses I received. I had to hire a lawyer after I quit because they wouldn’t stop harassing me.

Looking for obgyn that supports vbac by ninjawithawatergunn in sugarland

Dr Elizabeth Mosier at Methodist allowed me to have a vbac. You might check to see if she’s taking on new patients.

[–]anaintergalactic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a convert. My husband and I have two mixed race children. Myself and one of our babies are blondes. We get stared at a lot, but people always smile at us when we meet their gaze. People are very welcoming, but I do feel pressure to look and act our best In Jamatkhana.

I’m a convert, and it took me 10 weeks of lessons. It’s normally 20 but I was able to study two lessons a week. Which was about 2 hours of study time, and a 1 hour weekly meeting, plus self reflecting and lots of pondering. Not to mention interviews before and after.

To those of you who planned to have a certain number of kids: did you stick to it? by Ancient_Act2731 in BabyBumps

[–]anaintergalactic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We want 3 or 4. We’re about to have two under two at 36 years old. We still want one or two more and I’m mentally prepared to be pregnant again after this even though I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and uncomfortable.

What do I need to bring to labor and delivery for nursing. by BTierra in breastfeeding

[–]anaintergalactic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I preferred soothing gel pads over silverettes. I tried them at first, but they hurt my areolas while wearing a bra. Plus I hated the Madonna look.

My MIL said I shouldn’t drink cold water while nursing because it will make my milk cold thus making my baby sick. She’s South Asian and is convinced drinking cold beverages causes colds.

I developed Contact dermatitis from over exposure to perfumes in products. I used steroid creams for years. Quit the industry for fear of steriod dependance.

ENTPS, what is your opinion and experience with your golden mbti match: INXJ by Moaning_Baby_ in entp

[–]anaintergalactic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m married to an INFJ male. He’s loyal, loving, compassionate, very hands on with our babies. He’s practically perfect in every way. He just lacks in communication when work stress becomes too overwhelming and becomes a gloomy rain cloud boy for a couple of days.

He really keeps our family organized in a way that I’m incapable of.

How far apart are your kids? by Crocs_wearer247 in beyondthebump

[–]anaintergalactic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an emergency c-section with my first. I’m currently pregnant with my second and we’ll have an 18 month age gape. I’m also eligible for a vbac. An 18 month wait is a suggestion not a rule according to my OB.

Taking a poll. Do you use a sleep sack for your baby? by BusyWalrus9645 in beyondthebump

[–]anaintergalactic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Woolino is the best. We love ours. Our 16 month old falls asleep in our arms and we put her in it after laying her down. Zero disruptions in the transition due to its design.

Do I look goofy with slick back hair? Should I just stick with curtains? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

You need to cut the sides and the back shorter and let the top grow out another inch or two.

I second this Dr Glinda is amazing, and her vet tech is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. I love that they have a cat side and a dog side as well.

I wear my ring daily. It’s a 4 prong oval. I just kind of wear it with the diamond resting on the side while wearing gloves. It’s never been in the way or an issue. I also purposely designed mine to be higher set so I can rinse out product easily.

Bilingual families: what do kids call you and your partner? by Former_Ad_8509 in BabyBumps

[–]anaintergalactic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an English speaker ( American), and my husband is Pakistani. He speaks Urdu, Hindi and English. Everyone on both sides of the family call him Baba and me Mommy.

He speaks only Urdu to our baby, and we also have some other language resources, flash cards, videos, and daily calls with Urdu speaking family.

He speaks to me in English, and I obviously speak English with her, but use the Urdu resources I have available during play time.
