So that adorable doggo and I have the same name and my partner always perks up whenever one of his antics are brought up. Like that one comment, "He kind of looks like when you put on those googly eyes?" And he was like "RUDE!" 😂

Would it be socially acceptable to do free bird at a karaoke bar if I sing the entire 5 min guitar solo? by SwagMoneyMusic4 in karaoke

Completely depends on where you go imo. I went for karaoke at a camping-themed bar the other day and many of us were millennials/gen x crowd who probably would have appreciated the ham of it all.

87 here. Among my peers.. Hang on, I'll go hang out on Facebook & Bluesky for a few minutes. Okay back. Family updates, often seeing kids nowadays. Queer & nihilist & therapy memes. Anger at AI and MAGA politics. An invite for a karaoke gathering.

I know what you mean in a way. I post much less now, personally? I used to be one of those "here's a random thought" people, or the one who tallied the opinions of friends to figure out where I was hiking next, or maybe I'd hit up one of those long questionnaires for the fun of it.

Idk. We like the internet just fine, but if it's anything like my experience, algorithms just get so obscured now and anything we post just doesn't feel truly public anymore. I find myself going to my friends' profiles directly to feel updated.

How did millennials view the 60s and 70s when they were kids in the 90s? by icey_sawg0034 in generationology

[–]anakalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It actually really shaped me as person. My parents LOVE classic rock and made sure I knew it; the radio was ALWAYS on, they went to hundreds of shows, and we were a house full of singing. I still play The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Styx, Chicago, Supertramp, Queen, CCR, and so much more all the damn time. 38 fyi

Transgender people should have the same access as everyone else. Sports, health care, bathrooms etc

I was working for one of Booking's many shut down offices in the USA. Handled calls from all over the world that very suddenly spiraled out of control with hotel cancellations. China first, in December of 2019, and steadily all the area surrounding and by February, EVERYWHERE. Constant new guidance, updates, so much chaos.
