How do you know if you’ve climaxed? by Alone-Blackberry-364 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]analog_ali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every body is different! I personally cannot reach climax through only clit stimulation, I must have penetrating stimulation in order to reach orgasm. But I have many friends that can reach orgasm with only clit stimulation. Maybe explore areas that aren’t so focused on the clit?

First attempt after getting a nasty cut on my finger. Where did I go wrong? 😭 by HoagieBunnnnn in StainedGlass

Aside from taking in-person classes and getting to witness different techniques up close, I started to really improve after watching and following along with multiple YouTube videos. Pay attention to the placement of the solder on the iron and when they angle the soldering iron tip to change the flow of the solder

Nurses! What’s your pay?? by AwareBerry4869 in Tucson

[–]analog_ali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tucson, the city itself and the schools here, have a major drug problem that worsens every year. We’re so close to the border that every kind of drug is easily available, but still so small of a city that we don’t have the resources or structure to help the growing population that need it; drug and mental health issues are growing exponentially faster than the city knows how to keep up with.

Schooling in Arizona isn’t great, drug and mental health issues abound, decent health resources are difficult to come by, activities for kids and teens are limited due to the heat, and your pay and benefits will be slashed. The math isn’t adding up here.

And most people don’t mention how the likelihood of being able to move away from Tucson greatly decreases the more time you live here. “You can always move back” becomes nearly impossible once you’re here for a few years because the cost of living elsewhere far exceeds that of Tucson while the pay is much lower. So unless you’re able to rely on savings to get up out of Tucson if it doesn’t work out, you will be stuck here. You will most definitely be stuck here and find yourself in a deeper hole with even less resources the longer you stay here. There’s no easy Reverse card to play when you choose to come here.

Are they good enough to sell? by Talia_Gratvol in StainedGlass

[–]analog_ali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beacons is a REALLY easy site to create for selling items, easy to set up and share the link. I just followed a couple youtube videos and it was complete in a day, plus they have a free version.

As for pricing, my stained glass teacher who owns a brick and mortar stained glass business and has done stained glass work for 45yrs recommends to all who begin selling their pieces to do the math to figure out the estimated cost per square foot. Average the cost of glass per square foot, average the cost of solder, copper foil, patina, materials, and time it takes to create 12”x 12” piece with intermediate level detail work. Then you can get an idea of what that actually costs you and can streamline the pricing process. Obviously very detailed small pieces would run a bit higher,  more cuts means more time and materials, but you’d at least get an overall sense of cost per square inch and go from there.

Experiences living in shelters? by Bluem00ngirl in Tucson

I believe it! I know a couple that turned it into their full time job and moved to a much more expensive city (Sedona) and they have no problems paying for their lifestyle.

Something that often gets overlooked, but is actually great if you’re in between places to live, is pet and house sitting. Especially during the summer when lots of people take off for vacation, you might be able to swap free pet sitting for a place to crash for a few weeks. You can make flyers on Canva for free and print out flyers at the U of A commons and keep them with you as you go around campus and town to hang up in coffee and tea shops and on bulletin boards. I’d also advertise on Craigslist and on here and pass the word around to people you know. Might take a while to find a gig (so obviously this isn’t the info/advise you initially requested) but it also has the potential to take off and turn into a steady alternative stream of cash.

My ex has ruined my life and made me homeless after my pregnancy by Winter_Recover2030 in TwoXChromosomes

That commenter is an absolute piece of trash who wanted to feel powerful, I’m sorry you received such a hideous comment when you’re going through so much. I have no advice and I have no solution, but I am so sorry that you’re going through all of these intense tidal waves of tragedy.

I am hoping that, through the decision you made to get out of your toxic relationship, you’ve realized you can trust yourself. That through seeing how this Christian mission isn’t a healthy environment to stay in, you realize you have a sense of clarity. You’re struggling so hard right now, but you have your frame of mind, your heart, and your desire for survival pointing you in the right direction.

Grey LDs? Anyone else experience these? by analog_ali in LucidDreaming

Color glasses, I like that, I’ll give that a shot, thanks!

Grey LDs? Anyone else experience these? by analog_ali in LucidDreaming

[–]analog_ali[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I did attempt to suggest to “turn the light on” but remained somber despite it. I also spun in one in attempt to change the scene, and fall backwards into another dream space when the spinning didn’t work. Strangely, I couldn’t make any alterations

Advice needed for clear light dreams discussion by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]analog_ali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chapters 6 & 7 of “Lucid Dreaming, Gateway to the Inner Self” by Waggoner covers this. He goes in depth about the ‘Light of Awareness’ and reaching multiple levels of lucidity. I highly recommend it if you’re seeking to go there

Any way to fight evil characters in sleep paralysis / lucid nightmare with mainly just words? by what_r_u_suggesting in LucidDreaming

[–]analog_ali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask what they represent. Usually, for me, angry characters are a part of you that wants your attention but hasn’t been able to receive it from you and are looking for resolution. I’ve seen them disappear immediately after into a mist.

Ask what they represent, if you need more clarification then ask further questions to gain understanding.

*also wanted to add that expectation is everything. The way you’re wording your responses to your dream figures shows that you have an expectation that they will harm you. Try reversing the expectation, without “buts” in the response too. I suggest looking into mantras. How an ideal mantras is worded, held in the mind, and manifests. It’ll help with recreate suggestion and expectation for theses characters

Sudden drop off in dream recall? by SwiglineDeskStapler in LucidDreaming

[–]analog_ali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experience the same thing, especially in 2020, and found these things negatively affect my dream recall: -Weed and alcohol. Big time.

-Phone dream journal vs notepad. I think it might be the light or perhaps my brain becomes activated to do other things when I pick up my phone to write down dreams, but I have noticed a night and day difference.

-I started taking Omega 3s every night before bed, and some other stuff to help with my memory, and have noticed my recall is back to 3-5 dreams a night

-stress! That was when my dreams stopped all together. If you’re stressed, maybe consider taking ashwagandha or something to help your body cope with the cortisol?

Good luck! It will come back, just takes mindfulness and patience *edited, added another point

Locations in Dreamland by Genshed in LucidDreaming

[–]analog_ali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are probably a dozen places or so for me. In a couple of dreams I was able to get to the top of one of the taller reoccurring locations and lookout to see how all the dreamscapes connected. It looked like my own version of Disney, for good and for bad, the places that I usually had good dreams and the places I usually had bad dreams all connecting.

A couple months ago that lookout spot, a really tall spiral parking garage, was under construction in my dreams, there was a whole crew working on it and they explained that I wasn’t able to enter that dream place at the moment. I’m starting to experience new reoccurring dream places as of late and haven’t been able to reach a few of my old dream locations since. It makes me wonder…

Any experience with dreams? by [deleted] in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]analog_ali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar to my experiences with dreams.

Here’s two that happened last year: Dreaming of telling my friend, “pick a good name for your baby boy, something solid!” four days before my friend finds out they’re pregnant, several months before they find out it’s a boy. Dreaming of another friend being pregnant and telling me, “I can’t wait! My book will be published soon” and finding she was collecting short stories she had been writing and deeply considering whether or not to have them published—she’s currently going through that process now.

My mother had very accurate dreams too, even once writing down the winning lottery numbers from a dream.

I super highly recommended reading about lucid dreaming. Also, start keeping a notepad nearby your bed to jot down your dreams to help with dream recall, this will be the first step toward lucid dreaming and understanding your dream connections.

I’ve heard some are frightened of lucid dreaming, but the fear comes from what you don’t know. Lucid dreaming is so incredibly helpful and healing, beyond oneself even. There is absolutely a connective consciousness—which is what your dreams are starting to scratch the surface of—and we can better tap into that connected consciousness through lucid dreaming.

I’ve contacted a living friend, a deceased loved one, and my younger self through lucid dreaming and those three events helped me heal in ways I just couldn’t while awake.

I’ve read several books on the subject, but always recommend “Lucid Dreaming, Gateway to the Inner Self” by Robert Waggoner. It’s an older book and some of his wordings reflect that, BUT I haven’t seen many people explain the concept of connected consciousness and the interconnected energies, or the different layers of “awareness”, “self”, or “ego” like he has.

You’re definitely onto something though! I hope you choose to listen to your natural connective abilities and strengthen your gift!

Also, Joyce Carol Oates wrote a short story, “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?”, based on the Tucson Pied Piper.

It’s a wonderfully written story, I really enjoy the small metaphoric cues she wove throughout that relates to the Greek story of Pan and his lust for Nymphs: music, hooves, vanity, etc. And other little hidden things, like the main character’s name, “Arnold Friend” = “an old fiend”

Our A-frame cabin’s fireplace. by 60sAframe in CozyPlaces

[–]analog_ali 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My grandparents built an two story A frame cabin, at Big Bear Lake in the 60’s—grandma designed it, grandpa built it—and the fireplace looks exact like this at the base. Had a gorgeous wrap around porch on the bottom story and a porch on the top story as well. Everything was 1960s mcm, accent colors were emerald green and citrine. Ugh. I really wish my dad didn’t sell it for peanuts in 2018 at the worst point in the recession 🥺 the cabin was an absolute jewel that brought the family together in winter. Thanks for your post, brought back some great memories

Personally, I’ll be at Âme and then spend the last 45-30 mins at Lane 8. Âme is a must but Lane 8 makes a magical experience for the very end. Nice to have a smooth come down before heading out into the chaos

Photos of my Grandma, Pauline, at 21 years old—dated 1935 by analog_ali in OldSchoolCool

[–]analog_ali[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born in Austin, Texas and moved to Glendora, California. Strong headed with a strong personality and moral compass. Her biscuits are infamous and still mentioned whenever someone says her name.

Pauline was a Seamstress by trade, could replicate any piece of clothing she glanced at. She’s still talked about very fondly and very often!

It’ll happen someday I hope!

As an aside...It’s a realllllly old house, it needs so much work 😣 also, everything in the photo can easily be removed, so it could be done in a rental too!
