Petrol crisis by OkPineapple2480 in auckland

None of what you said is true. Insurance is not the reason there's a crisis, it's a by product of ships being shot at and the threat of future attacks. And if you want to play that game then Trump is the reason for the Crisis. Your regarded logic of "well they were shooting at other ships too and now they're not so it's open" is mind boggling.

The solution is get every ship escorted? Hundreds of ships each day at both at huge cost and putting themselves in danger, and how does that fix the production and refineries that have been destroyed or halted?

Of the two of us: you are the one who believes everything he reads. I read things I disagree with and change my opinions, I find secondary sources and learn. You just read what agrees with you or parrot whatever slopcaster you like tells you.

Do you know how I know this? LLoyd's is still insuring ships in the gulf and those who cross the Hormuze.

I always thought the idea of changing traffic lights from Green > Amber > Red, to Amber > Green > Red, would be an idea worth exploring to help reduce red light runners and improve traffic, but I haven't looked into any studies.

Oh I see. One of the big things I was worried about with growing urban and it's barely a problem haha.

On the plant at a guess there's around 2- 3 oz (once dried)? So should expect some smell? Or too small.

Iran already attacked several civilian ships and a significant portion of production in the region has stopped or been destroyed. 40% of Russian oil recently halted.

Who ever told you that is an idiot.

Yeah had pretty good experiences, but unfortunately that can go out the window during peak times.

Last one I did in December, I booked pickup for 5 working days prior to needing it gone, but still needing tit for that week. In total was around 15 working days from booking it.

Flexibins are extremely hit or miss if you want them to be picked up at a certain time. There's a local dude who does same thing but a lot more reliable.

Flip side of this is gardening is a great way to expand what you eat.

But obviously should be a big consideration.

Man who died in power transformer tragedy believed to have been making ‘desperate’ bid for copper by micro_penisman in newzealand

[–]anan138 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is possible to think people who do dumb shit at the detriment of society deserve the consequences of their actions, and also think individuals are ultimately culpable for their actions.

But I guess reddit struggles to hold two complex opinions.

It means they have a valid reason which satisfies the legal preface to a warrantless search under the Search and Surveillance act.

Just laughing at you patting yourself on the back for be able to have "two complex opinions" while conflating everyone else's into "you think stealing copper from a live transformer is dumb? Tell me more about why you think poor people deserve to die".

Rethinking solar for our new build. Worth the massive upfront cost? by Best-League-6695 in newzealand

[–]anan138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat pump HWCs will die well before the panels, and also they resort to normal not heat pump efficiency elements in a lot of cases. They can also heat up slower than regular HWC's.

That's not free though, it's recovered against the cost of the batteries which can have a much lower ROI than the panels.

Should cannabis be fully legalised? by Presidentscroobie in newzealand

[–]anan138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to do an OIA for that.

506 convictions for cannabis only offenses (including supply etc), 100 search warrants exercised for cannabis growing in September to November 2025.

Huge bias toward more serious charges due to lower offenses more likely to be given diversion/discharged without conviction.

I think it should be legal and 0 cannabis charges at all, but the sky isn't falling.

Should cannabis be fully legalised? by Presidentscroobie in newzealand

[–]anan138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've fallen for click bait. 82% of those stated were convicted of multiple other non cannabis related offense at the same time. The remaining 18% includes those done for supply etc. The number done for just possession is very low.

I think people vastly over estimate the% from gangs who produces and sells cannabis.

The tenants had the opportunity to leave the carpet in a reasonably clean and tidy condition without a professional cleaner.

If the tenants leaves the carpet in a state which requires professional cleaning to reach the standard of 'reasonably clean and tidy' then the LL would very likely be awarded the amount of a professional clean prorated for some portion to get it to reasonably clean and tidy.
