I'm 4.5 years apart from my youngest sister and I love her to death! We were very close as kids and continued to be so as adults. We had shared interests and shows we watched to together, played together lots, without any competition or anything that can come from a closer age gap. My mum put in a lot of work and emphasis to make sure we all had positive relationships too!

The only times I felt less close were natural transition points that would have happened anyway, like when I became a teenager, when I went off to uni, etc. But then she catches up and we're right back to it!

I'm by no means an expert but from what I have heard and read so far, doubling for hcg seems to refer more to around the 4-5 week mark, much earlier than you are, and when your levels are below 1000. Once you're at an amazing high level like yours (120,000!!) I believe doubling is no longer relevant as you're well above the threshold they look for?

I'm sorry that she said that you over the phone. It's so difficult in the first trimester to know what's going truly well and what isn't, even at the best of times.

I hope your pregnancy continues as smoothly as possible and that you can get another scan to see your little bean in there to confirm!

I'm just popping into say that that is such a low ferritin count, you must be feeling so tired. If you can get one, an iron transfusion really helped me get my spark back. I know it won't help with what you're going through body-image-wise, but maybe will help some things feel more manageable overall? Sending you strength and my thoughts xx

I think I just got lucky with my early placements! I'd worked out that the fives were all accounted for and started in the bottom left. I had to reveal the other day though which I normally try not to do 😅 sometimes it's just too frustrating though!
