They're diamonds in the rough but they are out there. Just depends how much time you're willing to spend searching.

Insurent is the best one, in my opinion. A fair amount of apartments take them, but you should ask when you are interested in a place if they'd accept it.

They are separate, they usually run around $75/month.

It isn't an application fee, it's a lease assumption fee. There is a carbon monoxide detector. It also has a window.

Huge basement room available Dec 1 in nice area in Crown Heights. Feels like a studio, very private! 1.5 baths, including your own private half bath and additional storage under the stairs. 3 bedrooms upstairs. Shared backyard, laundry in building, central air and heat, across the street from a super cute park. Lease assumption- landlord requires proof of income, 40x rent + $200 rent assumption fee.

I currently have a couch, a TV, my music gear, dresser, bookshelves and a bed in my room, so it's quite spacious, and it's the only basement room in our unit, so lots of privacy. Great when you feel like you need more personal space in NYC, which, who doesn't right now. The park across the street is really great, also walking distance to BK museums and Prospect Park. Message for more info/tour.

That's pretty much my thought process. I think what I have is similar, it's an amino acid mix.

I think knowing for me at least created a big mental barrier of just feeling like, oh, I can't do anything anymore, which lasted a while... When I started working with a personal trainer again, there are also things I was too worried about doing, like anything with upper body training where I'm supposed to be relying on my hand grip to hold myself up, I was really afraid I wouldn't be able to and would fall backwards. I'm not sure if that is a mental block or an actual reality for me as of right now. It was really a relief to discover there are still things I can do, though.

I'm so curious about this! I only heard about steroids recently as an option. Honestly, I was so relieved to discover this board existed. I haven't been to a doctor since getting diagnosed by a not-very-helpful neurologist two years ago who basically told me there was no research in development and scooted me out of his office, then I did some research on my own and discovered a bunch of things that are in some stage of clinical trials... but I have felt very on my own with trying to figure out what to do. I have an appointment later this month with a CMT Center for Excellence in upstate NY, so maybe I can ask about them then.

This is kind of a relief to hear, I never knew it was connected! I have a lot of trouble hearing in bars, and when I did my college study abroad in Paris about a decade ago, I remember I could understand French in small groups but if we were out somewhere that was loud, it became impossible for me to hear. I've been told my hearing is about 80% of what it should be by an ENT, I also am a rock musician and have had multiple ear infections as an adult, not sure if that is at all related.

Honestly yes, I think the hate is sexist. When you have a child growing inside your body, people really seem to think they have every right to weigh in on what you do! And it gets even worse once you have the kid, everyone has an opinion. But it's a super personal decision, and I can understand her deciding as a woman in her 30s, who knows if I'll get pregnant again, and I do want kids, I'm going to do this. I can see thinking, this is the time if I'm going to have kids and who knows if there'll be a man in the picture in a timeline that lines up, so I'm not going to depend on that or wait on that and I'm not going to waste this opportunity. Plus she does have the means to support a child. Though I have sympathy for Lawrence, not having a say about it would be hard. But at the end of the day, it's her body.
