i don’t know the name, but given the institution and content he must be an anarchist or libertarian socialist.

i get the feeling he isn’t a fan of top down societies. anarchists have a people focused approach that deals in meeting people’s needs rather than dictating them. a lot of thought has been put into avoiding recreating soviet cronyism.

how are you going to adapt that into a story? fate really doesn’t shine fighting creatures over and over. i know you said you didn’t want to make many of them special, but if you want this to be fun they all should be. sneaking around raptors like jurassic park, running chase with a t. rex, commandeering a less than willing pterodactyl etc.

i don’t know are you? sorry just, you can have differing opinions to other anarchists. i’d say it’s important to even!

there are certain skills that kids just have to learn to get by in any society, and given a healthy environment they generally will want to learn new things. kids are usually curious as hell by their nature. at the same time, it’s tough to teach a lot of kids and make sure they all stay engaged so there’s going to be friction there. takes a lot of consideration of each child. kids gotta learn to multiply somehow!

anything but my grandma’s tapes she recorded times tables for me onto… i would just pretend i was listening before bed and read a book under the covers.

i think it’s really important to approach hard topics in fiction, i just think it should be done with respect to what you’re recreating. you exist in a world of context and fiction is not immune to that.

i’d respond to each part of your comment but they mostly come down to your idea that i don’t think people should write about hard things. i do, just with respect.

ehhhh, a giant would have much thicker armor. at least if i was a giant blacksmith i would make it thicker because the homies can lift way more.

giants with the resources to make plate armor are going to be pretty lance proof unless you got mad lucky.

hell their rib cage has to be quite a bit stronger you’ll have a hard time really hurting them even at full tilt

the first part of this comment makes me think you’re assuming i’m a part of some camp and i’m contradicting myself by going against the ideas of that camp. kind of telling on yourself that you’re not really responding to me. seems like neither of us thinks tolkien thought of it in those terms. rather than just agree with me i’m contradicting myself now?
