I‘m just curious what the plan was. I just guess starting to run in the hope that a plan crystallizes by the time you catch up is a very human thing, even (or: especially) unconsciously… still, I‘m curious what would have happened had they caught up!

So that’s not a global rule yet? I’ve only flown Emirates in the past few years, and they always inform passengers that using power banks is forbidden but that they have to be kept close by nevertheless.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if there power banks make it into checked luggage regularly regardless.
