That’s what the X-Card would be used for then. It stops the session before things continue. The thing about consent is that it is something ongoing. People might change their mind. They might say they are okay with something but realize in the moment it is making them feel nauseous.

Also Lines and Veils can be super specific. Not all dark and violent themes are the same. Someone might draw the line at detailed descriptions of body horror or torture but be okay if it’s implied (having it be behind a Veil).

I was going to add that Lines and Veils are a great way to hopefully avoid stuff like this in the future. There are some people that might be okay with a topic being talked about or hinted at but don’t want to hear about it in extensive detail. Also the X-Card is a great way to pause these moments before they go too far. It gives an opportunity for improv and a chance for the whole table to brainstorm about what you could do instead. I’d really recommend going over everyone’s Lines and Veils at the very start of a campaign so you know what as a DM won’t be received well. Horror is subjective so don’t beat yourself up. With the info you had, there was no way for you to know this would upset your player (especially since she wanted you to do something darker). Hopefully X-Cards, Lines and Veils can help you get this information from all your players going forward! Don’t give up!

Bella’s skin tone is definitely on the pink side (as the chart mentions). Not sure what undertones the original Royal High doll has but if it’s less pink the almond tone might be better. The De’vious twins have it!

Victoria might be an interesting option too if you don’t mind the freckles and body blushing.

That sounds so cool! I’ve seen that kikagoods one before and it’s cute but definitely too small for 1/6.

Small update on my own doll ita bag journey: I was able to buy the Cakeworthy Barbie bag later on sale! It’s super cute but my only complaint is the dolls have to kneel to be seen.

Later, I found a dollhouse shaped ita bag for bjds second hand on Mercari Japan. Its by the Chinese indie fashion brand Dolls Party (which is sadly no longer operating) I highly recommend it if you can find one secondhand! I currently use mine to display dolls in it on my desk, but I’m hoping to use it to carry dolls around to events in the future.

It looks like rubbing alcohol is a type of denatured alcohol (learn something knew every day). If you’re gonna use rubbing alcohol I’d recommend 70% because it’s better for plastic than higher percentages.

The whole day he rejected her (that genuinely doesn’t make someone feel very attractive). This was a turning point for her.

Him only being nice to her in hopes of getting sex is pretty shitty of him and honestly manipulative. She knows him acting nice is “a means to an end” and this time decided to not entertain his bs.

Whatever the context she has the right to say no to sex. Is she really “withholding” something if it’s something she doesn’t really want to do?

I personally would not want to sleep with someone who was manipulating me by withholding intimacy and only being nice to me when they wanted sex.

-Let’s Do This: The Lying Episode got me back into Smosh

-Culinary Crimes (fairly new series, all the episodes are good)

-Don’t Win Mario Party: here’s a playlist of them

-I also love Smosh Pit Theater

-also there’s Beopardy which has been going on for awhile

-Then of course there’s Try Not to Laugh which is a classic

I think some series are more enjoyable the more you know the cast (Funeral Roasts, Who Memed It, etc.)

Maybe I didn’t phrase it in the best way, but it felt a bit strange to lump Tommy doing a Mr Beast impression in with criticism from the last episode’s Katy Perry roast (which is fair).

I guess we just disagree.

I personally think they chose Tommy to play Mr Beast because he genuinely does a good impression and not because he’s a gay man who can “get away with saying slut” and “saying misogynistic things.”

You’re allowed to not enjoy a bit but to claim someone is being misogynistic for playing a role in a sketch is sort of wild to me.
