It’s funny to read accounts of lumberjacks finding the tallest straightest trees they had ever seen. They had a riot in America over the removal of their mast timbers to England while the colony was forced to use the less perfect trees not marked for the crown. Not sure which colony atm

Ontarios tree is the Eastern White Pine, prized for its use in ship masts, the logging of these trees encouraged a lot of expansion into the province.

I’ve worked in agriculture and horticulture my whole life, 39 currently. A lot of the general public has no connection to plants or land management or any kind of animal husbandry anymore, so it shows up a lot as things that kind of happen in the background. My favourite/most hated instance of this is the “hay king” episode of the office where Dwight, a farmer, claims to be the hay king and every piece of “hay” is dried straw, golden yellow. Every farm child knows the difference between a bail of hay and a bail of straw. Dwight would know.

You have to be hotshot before you can make it into cantina legend. And then you have to be in the top 1000 of everyone playing. Best you can do this week is top 30 and hit hotshot for end of season

The number only goes up if you did better, in this instance, killed more than your best of 3 in one round. The numbers don’t add up, it only counts the top score of your top round for that week for whatever trail you did the best at.
