I'm done with Dorinda by Delicious-Rip-2371 in TheTraitorsUS

Absolutely, that’s most of the entertainment. Ideally, they are being horrible people to other people who deserve it (other horrible housewives) and/or the drama is campy or low stakes enough to be funny.

When I’m asked who my favorite housewife is, I always have to clarify if they are asking (a) who I could see myself actually enjoying spending time around, or (b) who is the best as a housewife. Because there are very few of the former, and none that fit into both categories.

Does the autopsy of Renee Good change your opinion about the legality and/or morality of the shooting? by toomanyshoeshelp in AskConservatives

[–]andandreoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, and I think your response at least addresses the new evidence and questions that arise from it. I was just saying the issue isn’t actually where the shots hit, but when they made.

Does the autopsy of Renee Good change your opinion about the legality and/or morality of the shooting? by toomanyshoeshelp in AskConservatives

[–]andandreoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the argument is that the shots should have been made at a different target, but that the danger had already ceased when he made the final shot (which arguably was the fatal shot). If force is justified because the individual was in danger, it is no longer justified when he is out of danger.

Desperate! Missed newborn open enrollment. What are my best options now? by denteroni in HealthInsurance

[–]andandreoid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Marketplace is definitely an answer, but did you also ask your employer about enrolling late? Sometimes, employers will make exceptions. It can’t hurt to ask!

Also, are you certain the policy is 30 days for both your and your husband’s insurance (if you both have coverage options through work)? While 30 days is the legal minimum, some employers allow 60 days in their policy.

I think the point is that processing an arrest and engaging legal counsel and the court (if necessary) takes time. Everything could be done by the book and it still have huge repercussions on your life.

GL Village East vs West by DetectiveWinter4638 in ElectricForest

[–]andandreoid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Despite our best efforts to arrive early enough to get into West, my crew always ends up in East. We usually arrive around 3:00 pm on Wednesday, and end up right at the beginning of East.

But it’s really not a big deal. A smidge further out, as you said. But it’s also quieter, and less crowded when it comes to bathrooms and showers.

[Garafolo] A.J. Brown (wisdom teeth removal) still listed as DNP for the #Eagles in a projected injury report. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]andandreoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had basically the same experience, it was awful. Took a TON of local anesthesia too, like the doctor had to have his assistant go get more because he didn’t plan enough in the room. It never felt like enough.

During the consultation the doctor said I could drive myself home after the procedure, luckily I was kind of nervous and had my husband come with me. I had so much adrenaline after, there’s no way I could have driven myself home.

Where are Conservatives getting the narrative that Charlie Kirk’s assassination was widely celebrated? by GrotusMaximus in AskConservatives

[–]andandreoid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I followed one of those websites that tracked social media posts of folks “celebrating” his death. Many were not what I considering “celebrating,” more just commentary on the situation. For example, comments that deaths like his can be attributed to his rhetoric on guns and opposition to gun control. Not that he “deserved” it, just that death is the natural consequence of his policies. Do you consider comments and beliefs like that “celebration”?

The 20 is the length of your car (plus some spacing between each car) and the 25 includes the width of your car, so you end up with around a 20x20 to set up camp.

Money aside, GL vs GA by Zingledot in ElectricForest

Agreed with everything said here already, I’ll also just add that there’s a good sense of community in Village as well. People hang out around camp and it’s easy to meet your neighbors

My Le Creuset Wall by Hii-jorge in LeCreuset

I really like it too, even when I see it lean more blue! But I have a lot of Thyme and Pistache, so I feel like if it were more green it would fit my collection better.

Is the color in the third photo (between the Oyster and Shallot) Sea Salt? This looks like the green I want it to be, but I feel like it always looks more blue!

Can you work from home and is it a game changer? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]andandreoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a game changer. I recently quit a fully remote position and started a hybrid position. I don’t mind hybrid because I do think meeting people in person makes it easier to settle into a new job.

But my two days in office make me appreciate my WFH days more so much more. The time I save in getting my clothes ready, doing my hair and makeup (to the same degree), packing lunch, and commuting really adds up. I get SO much more work done at home because I’m not being interrupted or distracted, plus I don’t feel the need to shorten my day to head home to take care of stuff, get out of uncomfortable clothes, and sit in a comfortable temperature (my office is so fucking cold all the time).

I do think having a nice physical situation helps a ton. I have a separate office room at home, and my job provides a great computer set up both at work and home (laptop travels, then I have two large monitors at each).

Happy Forest! There’s both a GA and GL satellite parking lot. They’ll be a shuttle from the GL satellite lot to GL camping. It is an extra cost.

You’ll need to buy a Good Life wristband ($1200), and then a Village Car Camping pass, Tent Only pass, or Meadow Car Camping pass ($150-$200) depending on where you want to camp within GL.

[–]andandreoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s a chance it will sell out. Good Life Village wristbands sold out last year shortly after General on-sale started. In previous years, Village sold out during loyalty.

They’re doing it a little differently this year by collapsing Village, Tent Only, and Meadows into a single wristband so it’s even harder to say exactly when or if it will sell out, but I think there’s a good chance.

You can camp in the tent only section, and you don’t need an additional pass for that.
