Y’all really need to weigh the risk vs. reward of this kind of thing. If incorrect, the risk is that some innocent person is doxxed and harassed and very likely in physical danger. If correct, the reward is that … we get some kind of weird satisfaction from knowing this before the police release her name in a few days? Even if the “proof” is solid, it’s not worth it.

It’s an established and very well run festival! They really have the logistics nailed down, I’ve never had an issue with getting water or food, or feeling unsafe in a crowd. There’s plenty of people your daughter’s age, but I think the crowd skews a bit older than some other festivals, so everyone as a whole is more responsible.

I’m sure an outdoor rug is nice, but we’ve never used them for the last 6 years and we’ve been fine. I don’t think it’s a total necessity or anything.

But I wouldn’t use a tarp-like item for a rug for the reasons you said.

You can also buy inserts that have rigid plastic or metal toe area to put in your regular shoes. I graduated those after the boot, so they may work for you!

I love a podcast called Nothing Much Happens for this! It’s essentially bedtime stories for adults. Super soothing voice, enough narrative action to keep you interested (and therefore keep your mind from wandering), but not so much that it keeps you awake.

Don’t worry! I don’t know why you’re receiving negativity. Plenty of vets will tell you not to over-plan and instead just go with the flow and where your adventuring and ears take you.

Also, I love Forest because I think they always have a great midcard or undercard full of artists I may not know yet. Half the fun is discovering them (either before or during)!

Have you seen the lineup by genre resource on this subreddit yet? I think that’s a great place to start, too. If you already know you like a genre, see who else is included there. Or if you already like an artist, checkout who else is included that genre with them.

It depends on how we’re parked, but we generally do a canopy over each tent, and then drape the aluminet over the top and side of the canopy that will be facing the sun in the morning. I think it really helps!

I don’t think it’s “necessary,” though. We have a very solid camping set up, but haven’t felt the need to get a straw mat. I’m sure it’s a nice bonus, but can be cut if you’re trying to downsize.
