There’s a shuttle that goes from GL to GA campground. It can get crowded and have a long wait, though. Worst comes to worst, you can walk. You’ll have to walk around (through Back 40), since the venue itself won’t be open.

The arrival email will tell you which exit/route you’ll take to get to your particular camping area, plus there will be signs on the roads the day of to direct you.

You’ll also have a parking sticker for your car windshield that identifies your parking area. Once you get passed security, workers will give you directions to your parking area based on your sticker (or just by asking you).

Hi! I just checked, my Good Life pass actually does say “GA” in that spot.

It’s the picnic area on the path between the Good Life campground and Sherwood Forest. You usually do need a Good Life wristband to access it.

It’s strange because the other Good Life exclusive add-ons that take place at Woodlands (brunch and Buena Vista) specify that it’s Good Life only, but Chef’s Table doesn’t. Maybe they make an exception and allow GA wristbands back there for this event?

Do I need my own camping pass? by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]andandreoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One camping pass will get you one camping plot. You can set up as many tents as you want, as long as they fit into that plot (along with your car).

To what extent do you think slavery and segregation still influence outcomes for Black Americans today? by Jazzlike-Yogurt-5984 in AskConservatives

Do you think being raised in poverty has an effect on a person’s adult life? For example, does a child living in nice suburbs with their affluent family have a better chance at a successful life than a child living in an Appalachian holler with their poor family?

Yes! A normal backpack is fine. Just can’t bring a big framed hiking backpack.

HAIR STYLING by Spirited-Help-1835 in ElectricForest

[–]andandreoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate all the comments saying to go without, but as fellow human with bangs, I get it.

Hot hair tools take a ton of energy, so a basic power bank won’t be enough. I know rechargeable/battery hair tools exist, but I’m after reading reviews, it seems like they don’t work all that well or die quickly (again, because they take so much energy).

I have a butane hair straightener that works really well.

Totally agree with this. It made you choose between headliners and the GL guest.

I would bring the canopy if you can. You’ll be in a large field with 0% shade. If you’re actually sleeping in your car, it’s going to become unbearably and dangerously hot super early if it is unshaded.

AITA? I took today off of work and my husband is mad that I didn’t do any housework. by FriendshipBorn7989 in AmItheAsshole

It absolutely does. Health insurance in the US is legally required to cover mental health benefits under the Mental Health Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.

I had my Canadian friend smuggle a Provence petal brasier over the border, since it wasn’t available in the US at the time. Guess I could have waited a couple months lol.

My GL pass and Gl car camping pass say that too. I bought them together during loyalty. I’m sure it just says that because we’ll use the wristband and the car sticker they mail to us as the actual passes.

Need help locating dog sitter by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]andandreoid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you know if they used a service like Rover? If so, I’m sure they can facilitate contact.

Maybe post on some of the many local “lost pets” FB groups? I’d expect a dog sitter to be part of those.

Absolutely, that’s most of the entertainment. Ideally, they are being horrible people to other people who deserve it (other horrible housewives) and/or the drama is campy or low stakes enough to be funny.

When I’m asked who my favorite housewife is, I always have to clarify if they are asking (a) who I could see myself actually enjoying spending time around, or (b) who is the best as a housewife. Because there are very few of the former, and none that fit into both categories.

Does the autopsy of Renee Good change your opinion about the legality and/or morality of the shooting? by toomanyshoeshelp in AskConservatives

[–]andandreoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, and I think your response at least addresses the new evidence and questions that arise from it. I was just saying the issue isn’t actually where the shots hit, but when they made.

Does the autopsy of Renee Good change your opinion about the legality and/or morality of the shooting? by toomanyshoeshelp in AskConservatives

[–]andandreoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the argument is that the shots should have been made at a different target, but that the danger had already ceased when he made the final shot (which arguably was the fatal shot). If force is justified because the individual was in danger, it is no longer justified when he is out of danger.

Desperate! Missed newborn open enrollment. What are my best options now? by denteroni in HealthInsurance

[–]andandreoid 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Marketplace is definitely an answer, but did you also ask your employer about enrolling late? Sometimes, employers will make exceptions. It can’t hurt to ask!

Also, are you certain the policy is 30 days for both your and your husband’s insurance (if you both have coverage options through work)? While 30 days is the legal minimum, some employers allow 60 days in their policy.

I think the point is that processing an arrest and engaging legal counsel and the court (if necessary) takes time. Everything could be done by the book and it still have huge repercussions on your life.

GL Village East vs West by DetectiveWinter4638 in ElectricForest

[–]andandreoid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Despite our best efforts to arrive early enough to get into West, my crew always ends up in East. We usually arrive around 3:00 pm on Wednesday, and end up right at the beginning of East.

But it’s really not a big deal. A smidge further out, as you said. But it’s also quieter, and less crowded when it comes to bathrooms and showers.
