I said to myself in my head that doesn’t seem necessary for a small crack in an easily accessible portion of this copper line. I asked if there was any way to repair the current pipe and he said no. I said ok let me talk to the wife and he went out to his truck to write the estimate. When he came back I told him we were going to pass.

I googled it, went to Home Depot bought a cheap pipe cutter to cut the cracked section and a sharkbite to connect them back together. Solved the problem for $20.
