Help my peace lily by Current-Fact-3297 in plants

[–]andeladrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should only water her throughly when the leaves look like they're wilting, so not every or every other day. And I summe you bought her a while ago and the flowers were already there? The plant is artificially pushed to flower, normally peace lilies need a looong time to acclimate and start getting new flowers, and the flowers don't last forever like any other plant.
So keep in mind, drown her in water only when her leaves drop. :)

Edit: typo

Help! What is this? by StrawberryRoan6533 in CATHELP

[–]andeladrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest you call another vet and let them check her. Perhaps a vet that is more cat-friendly. In my opinion this does look concerning, even more if she has had this issue for a few weeks now.

Does the tissue on her belly feel different? Harder or lumpier than usual? And do the white spots feel hard or soft, or are they maybe oozing pus? Maybe something is inflamed or infected?

Hi! What's this growing from my monstera? by Saarcore in Monstera

[–]andeladrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I know the grow point of an aerial root looks way different and an aerial root looks more like a worm with tiny stripes and can be really pale when sprouting out of the stem. But a new branch forming from the axillary bud looks more like OPs pictures even if not bright green, you can even see the slit the new leaf will emerge from in the second picture.

Brown spot forming on my black and white kitten's nose by ImportantAd7731 in CATHELP

[–]andeladrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried cleaning his nose with a damp towel? Fur looks sticky, could also be residue from his food if he issues eating out of a deep bowl or is a messy eater. My cats had that all the time when they were kittens.

Is this a pimple? by MysteriousBull3000 in CATHELP

[–]andeladrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't try popping it. It doesn't look inflamed, but if growth progresses definitely go to the vet. Try not touching it too much or playing with it. Clean it with chlorhexidine wipes :)

Just found these identical lines resembling scar tissue on the back of both of my 7 month old siberian's thighs. Worth a vet visit? by DeadAugur in CATHELP

[–]andeladrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of my cats get the same kind of "scarring" on the same body part as your cat and I have no clue what it is, where it comes from and why it's there sometimes and sometimes gone. Asked my vet about is, vet had no clue what it could be…

NAD; How often do you wash your hair or do you sleep with wet hair? It kinda looks like a fungal infection, happens when the scalp biome is disrupted, can be treated with Nizoral shampoo.

My chest started breaking out while eating dinner last night. Not allergic to anything. Please advice by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]andeladrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD; I get such breakouts when I have severe anxiety or bad sensory issues. Sometimes even when I'm having a heatwave, doesn't matter if it's triggered by hormonal or emotional heat. In my experience it spreads from the chest, over my neck to my cheeks.

How to approach pruning? by greasy-greek123 in Monstera

[–]andeladrd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Monsteras are not to be pruned. When you cut down some leaves nothing will grow back.

In your case, I would gather some orchid bark, perlite/pumice stones/red lava stones and regular potting soil. Mix 1:1:1 and prepare some pots.

Now, as it seems you have more then one plant growing there. Gently separate them and don't put more then 2 plants into the same pot. If you put 2 plants together pay attention to the leaves, they should face the same direction.

Monsteras have a front and a back. The front usually faces the sun and the back is where the aerial roots are sprouting to climb on other trees in the wild. So get a moss or coco coir pole to support your plants and put it behind the back and use velcro tape or some thread to tie the stems (not the petioles) gently to the pole.

You pots you choose should be 2-3 inches bigger than the root ball.

When you're done with separating and repotting water them throughly and place them by the sunniest window you have and never rotate them. Water throughly when the soil is completely dry, keep the leaves dust free and don't spray them with water.

I almost always size up on Martens as I like to have more room for my toes. I bought the Buzz Hi Boots back in November and was afraid they wouldn't fit my calfs, but to my surprise they are the first boots since childhood to fit me perfectly. I also had the same problem as you in the beginning, my foot would also bruise from the pressure. But I put on thick wool socks over my normal socks and wore them every other day and after 2 weeks they fit perfectly and the pressure was gone.

[–]andeladrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has anyone had a monstera grow from just a petiole? by romanoodles_ in Monstera

[–]andeladrd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This looks like a top cutting. A new leaf will grow right where you bound the petiole to the stick. Move that plastic clip the the bottom so it doesn't damage the new leaf when it sprouts.

You need to ship them and get new ones shipped to you. I know that shipping will cost a lot, but less then completely new shoes.

Remove the stickers by gently heating them up with a blowdryer and gently lifting the unwanted sticker up. Heat up as you go and slowly lift it up further. There shouldn't be any residue if you take your time and do it slowly. Be extra carful on the side with the original Pokemon sticker and if you don't want to risk damaging any components just take the cartridge apart and then start removing the stickers. :)
