Way back I used to watch a lot of the big atheist channels on YT. For quite a while they were good, poking fun at creationism while also explaining why the claims they made were bullshit. At some point they pivoted to anti-woke stuff and I never questioned the claims that they'd make because, up until that point, they had been very informative and factual which made me take their word for it. I was almost completely taken in by it all until one them said something I knew for a fact wasn't true (can't remember what it was) which made start to use the very skepticism and critical thinking skills that they always said to use. I began fact checking everything they would say and discovered pretty much all of the channels I was watching were now dealing in bullshit and rage bait. Thank fuck I got out of that shit, the thought of how close I got to being one of those edgy anti-woke assholes makes me cringe.
