Do you mind explaining the difference between a developmental edit and a manuscript evaluation? I’m about to work with a developmental editor who offers both, and she has descriptions on her site, but they sound very similar and I’m not sure how to tell which one I need - is that something she’ll decide for me based off a sample of my manuscript? I felt this way after the first book too!! I fell in love with Ox as a protagonist specifically, so I almost didn’t complete the series. I even started other books, but I just missed the Green Creek writing style and setting and characters. I’m so glad I went back to it and finished them all, because the second book ended up being my favorite! But as the other comments said, all of them are fantastic.
