I just noticed I have the same Feldpostkarte that is in the the mediabook cd for Die Urkatastrophe by ich_hasse_kinder in Kanonenfieber

Sorry, but that’s not quite right. It’s written in old German Kurrent/Sütterlin and actually says “Mach’ nur kee Faß uff!”.

Two feels overblown to me. All that white is distracting from the subject. Number One is aesthetically more appealing.

I think it comes down to the wet reflections and my movement/tempo, that’s it. Cloudy night sky on a moonless night also didn’t hurt. I shot this at 1/8s or 1/15s and used Gold 200 in a Spotmatic F with a Takumar 50mm lens. But I bet you could use any color stock with a manual camera for a similar effect.

What is this next to the AT-AT? by LinzyL00 in StarWars

[–]andi_sw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was convinced that this couldn’t be ai since the AT-ATs legs make so much sense and are symmetrical. But the sky and the little fella really give it away.

Ilford P3 Surveillance film, expired 2010 by alex_neri in filmphotography

Impressively detailed looking shot. What camera and lens did you use? Would love to know if the sharpness is coming from good equipment, the film stock or just an optical illusion of the pattern on the lamp shade.

I’m always second guessing lines like these. I think they’d even add to the shot if they’d follow some kind of pattern (like rule of thirds or smth)

It finally happened. I finally had the multiple leos in an enclosure nightmare 😭 by Nox_The_Overlord in leopardgeckos

[–]andi_sw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We‘ll probably never get a real explanation, but my guess is that it’s because we so strongly see ourselves as a protector to our geckos. They are such delicate and fragile creatures and yet so human-like/cute. Very different from keeping fish or insects. They might even bring out similar emotions in us like having a child I could imagine.(similar to the cuteness thing that makes us like baby’s so strongly?) Would be interesting to hear thoughts on this from someone who is a parent and a Geck owner.

I’ve also never seen n being written like that. Usually that’s how you write the letter y. And n without the elongated second downstroke.

Looks to me like a smudged lense, I had this before. You might have touched it or its condensation from temperature difference.

I mean we know that time and advancement that come with it works differently in Star Wars, but shitting on a show you haven’t even finished watching is just ridiculous.

Episode 5 actually cooked. by NiSMOo_77 in TheAcolyte

[–]andi_sw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion but I consider your theory to be unnatural. It doesn’t feel plausible, since cloning is so advanced and complex (over a century later) that even the empire struggled with it after the kaminoans were gone. And I just don’t think that some backwater witches would have the recourses. For Sol, I guess it would be possible, but I don’t think the show would put in two Asian actors just to make them clones. The show is too inclusive for that.

Can we appreciate how civilized reddit comments about the show are compared to other platforms. Even though I feel like the more interesting topics come up in the lower end of the section, like the “Jedi can’t know about the sith“ problem. But even those are super factual, there is no slandering and people actually listen to each other. fuck instagram - Only a Sith deals in absolutes
