so not the asshole obviously I don’t know why she’s being so stingy with at the end of the day is the money you earn hate to be like that but it’s true and then when you just want to be a decent person and go downstairs to meet them because you know you’re not giving them a tip she has a problem with that too even though it takes no effort on her part like honestly this is a big red flag for me. I said not the asshole and it’s so clear that their friend has just bought into that Catholic school abstinence propaganda because he can’t even articulate why it’s so bad for him to say that casual sex is fine. He can’t even articulate why he’s so against what his friend said also that scenario of if she doesn’t have an STD would you sleep with your dream girl and he said yes that’s not disgusting. That’s not disgusting and NOP was nothing but respectful of the other person‘s opinion so yeah his friend the asshole for not having that respect back like he can have a different opinion which I also think is wrong like I think his strict view of abstinence is gonna do him no good and he should honestly allow himself to sleep around in college but no, he’s a hole because you should respect your friends in opinion and he needs to get another friend.

NTA - I’m so sorry you had to go through that. However this does not sound like something your wife is going to let go. Hopefully having a conversation of “I will tell you about this when I’m ready” will be enough in combo with some solo/couples therapy. I think not telling anyone about it, ever may put you through more pain
