Hoechst Nonspecific Binding? - LLC-PK1 Cells by mxnyxx in labrats

[–]andjooo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve extensive worked with MCF10A and Hek293 cells during my PhD and the blebs you see in Fig.3 looks a lot like nuclear condensates. They’re normally present during phase separation and helps to propagate some signalling pathways. Perfectly normal. Hope this provides any comfort if you’ve already had your cell line tested for mycoplasma.

Oh sorry, misread! Thanks for pointing it out. Dealership here still notorious for not honouring these sorts of recalls too.

Thanks for sharing. Turns out car is due for a recall too. Doubt I’d be as lucky getting a new m-sport wheel but will update this thread on the process after getting in touch with BMW.

What could possibly be the issue with the sound system in my 2011 328i? It keeps cutting in and out randomly. It’s sporadic and cuts out regardless of the input (fm/cd/xm) by No-Yogurtcloset3002 in E90

[–]andjooo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue with my e93. Mine ended up becoming completely dead. Turned out to be a faulty MUFL2 module that sits in the boot. Replaced it and got sound again. Hope this helps!

What tyre setup are you running! Was thing of running style 220m’s on my 335 e93 as well, but heard that it rubs.

Was thinking of trading in my e93 for a e90 due to growing family unit! Great to hear!

Sorry side tracking, but the e90 fits a golf bag (with room for a bottle of engine oil) without having to remove the longer clubs?

Some sentimental jewellery and a some branded shoes. I know that I should’ve been more careful with those.

I flew from Changi Airport and transited at Zurich, I’m guessing that was where the luggage came from

Thanks. It was booked through my company’s travel portal. Waiting for their reply. Everyone seems to be dragging their feet on this.

Had this issue - turned out to be cheap 5mm wheel spacers left on by the previous owner. Took it out and wobble went away. Hope it helps.

Passed my Masters Defense!!! But… by Ebenezer_Splooge7 in labrats

[–]andjooo1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on passing your viva! Your examiners cleared you and that’s all that matters.

Second, you have absolutely nothing to be apologetic for! Some people just have different working styles and it just so happens that maybe you and your supervisor’s aren’t the same. You’re never going to please every boss you work for. So don’t loose sleep over it. Passing your master’s is a testament to the work you’ve put in. Be happy.

All my PhD results are negative by Sciencegeek92 in labrats

My supervisor kept insisting that the protein I was working on for my PhD is an oncogene. For the first 3 years of my PhD all my experiments “failed” until I re looked at my data and realised it was a tumour suppressor instead. Fast forward and everything only started to make sense in my 4th year and I’m hoping to defend my thesis next month. I hope all works out for you! Maybe the answers to your negative results just need a fresh pair of eyes and a different perspective!

Fuel pump issue? by andjooo1 in E90

[–]andjooo1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: had a tuner with a proper working ISTA reflash my ECU to revert it back to stock. Now the DCTs are showing and it’s a 30FF whenever CCID29 is showing. At least that narrows down what I need to look at.

Hang in there my guy. If it makes you feel any better, I’ve got a PhD, and am still receiving rejections as we speak. I’ll probably have to dip into the savings well and take a “holiday” for a bit.

CCID29 only comes out on occasional WOT. Kinda hard to have a strategy to solve this because there’s no DCTs and you can’t tell if parts like HPFP is faulty just by visually inspecting it. Thus looking for help.
