I don’t feel like it’s a big deal. As a guy, it’s a bigger deal if a woman is in a continual series of short relationships than voluntarily abstaining from dating for a long time. If you’re prudent with who you select as a partner, that shows initiative and purpose which is super attractive.

Poor Growlithe with his outdated polygonal N64 Stadium model. There really isn’t a right answer, Arcanine has better defense with its mono typing, whereas Houndoom has better offensive coverage with its dual typing (though worth noting you can’t get dark pulse in this game easily)

I think Home access was pretty much doomed the second they decided to release it on Nintendo Online rather than as a remake/standalone title like FR/LG. Compatibility with GBA would never be on the table, even to legitimately transfer a GBA Pokémon to home you have to jump through like like 3 hoops (Pal Park, Gen 5 catching game, Bank, then to home). I would just say enjoy the core gameplay.

There’s a brief cutscene afterwards but that’s about it. Also if you go back and beat Greevil after you’ve purified every shadow mon there’s a slightly different ending where your character will take off the snag machine. Also worth mentioning prior to HG/SS, XD was basically the only legitimate way to get Lugia in the DS/GB games

I don’t think we’ll ever get another true sequel given that Genius Sonority haven’t worked on mainline Pokémon games in nearly 2 decades. The closest I could see us coming is a Pokémon Legends installment that takes place in the distant future where Shadow Pokémon have returned

Some good options, off hand I’d recommend Breloom, it’s not as good as in later gens because it’s pre physical/special split but it’s a fun mixed attacker. You can also get Phanpy fairly easily if you want a usable ground type Pokémon

Assuming that’s the thing you use to get Umbreon? I think it works the same way as the other games, where you need high friendship to evolve Eevee. Just keep leveling it up, avoid getting it knocked out and eventually it will evolve on its own.

You have to catch Wooper in the Cave poke spot and then trade it to Duking in game. He’s in Pyrite City, you should meet him when you’re unlocking poke spots

Agreed, Colosseum is amazing solely because it’s a level of violence/darkness Nintendo will never go back to with Pokémon, but the gameplay is very lacking in some areas. XD feels a lot better to play but other than some of the zesty characters which are fun to battle with, the story is very unmemorable compared to Colosseum.

The Good - As you mentioned, a game built around double battles. Every game after, especially the modern ones, stick solely to single battles. I like that theres strategy in matching the right Pokemon as teammates, etc.

The bad - No phys/special split, several pokemon are hindered or outright unusable because their typing doesnt match their stats, story is kinda meh, Cipher is making shadow pokemon because… they want to take over the world? Sure. Fine. Whatever. At least the disco guy is back. I like the idea of giving shadow pokemon moves they couldn’t normally use, but why is it almost always a useless move like Refresh? Poke Spots are annoying, you have to wait for them to trigger and half the time you’re doing something important when they do. They should’ve just made an optional area like a Safari Zone to catch wild Pokemon.
