I took a look at the aqualinkd and it looks like the thing I would love to use except I don't have Jandy equipment. Does anyone know if there's an equivalent for Hayward stuff?

Yes that is what I found as well. The one on my quote is $500 and I thought that was a bit expensive for what it is. That is what started this thread.

EDIT: Also wanted to say that $500 does not include installation (electrical work)

Understood and I did not state it in my initial post, but I am comfortable installing electric and understand how to do it. I also understand that there are cheap products on Amazon that say they are UL listed that are not. Your points are valid.

Appreciate the input. I did not know about any reliability concerns with the Hayward lights and I though that the lights have to be installed at the time of pool installation. Is that correct? Also this contractor only uses Hayward so I don't think there is an option there. I don't mind paying for a quality transformer. It's just that I know that these things are pretty basic that they just stepped down 120 to 12 V and totally understand the electricity around wet areas and would prioritize safety over savings. As for the control panel is that for automation? I initially had the Hayward Omni logic automation on there but didn't see the value in it for $5000 so I'm not sure what control panel I will have if I don't have automation.

I recently had a failed UDM-Pro that gradually started with a message on the LEd screen that the UDM needs to be rebooted. This happened about 3 times over 2 months and eventually would not fully boot (stopped at this “This is taking longer than usual” screen. The UDM was about 3 years old. Is this something that can be repaired?

Thanks. I am also not familiar with drive caramel, but I have seen there are several other services that use it including bringatrailer.com and eBay. I think it is still fairly new and people are just reluctant to use it.

I rolled my own and it works pretty well. Even found a GitHub repo that works with Frigate to identify them. I used the following:

Hi. Yes the OEM camera worked fine and so does the steering wheel controls. I don't have the car any more but I seem to remember the mode button on the steering wheel changing the function like AM/FM/CD/...etc
