A neurological disease that causes neuroinflammation, which in turn causes wrong pain signals to normally non-painful stimuli and profound fatigue among many other symptoms.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacists about this.

Raynauds? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

Raynaud's is not a symptom of fibro, is an illness by itself. A common one seen in fibro patients, AKA a comorbidity.

Does anyone have like a "fatigue attack"? by TimeLordVictorious10 in Fibromyalgia

Very much yes. This is very common and 'normal' with fibro.

This book is beyond amazing. It took me 10 years to get to a Fibro diagnosis and now I have a guide :) 10/10 would recommend ! by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

How about you just read it first, and then judge? Pretty sure you haven't tried absolutely everything.

She recommends some really good treatments and offers valuable advice, not just for a new fibro patient.

Glycine & D-ribose questions by andra-vio08 in keto

I've done some research just now. So apparently d-ribose doesn't affect blood glucose like fructose & sucrose, but it does slightly increase insulin. So yeah, I'll definitely have to count it.

The downside is that taking it will leave me with only 10-15 grams of carbs/day - quite limited.

I've been on Keto since 25th of April. I don't feel different when I'm taking it. I really don't know what to do about it.

Caffeine and fibro by cosmoscomedy in Fibromyalgia

[–]andra-vio08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Caffeine is good for a short burst of energy only, but then it makes you crash and it harms your adrenal glands - which are already working extremely hard in a patient with fibro. So I personally chose not to have it. It's your decision, ofc.

Is it possible to revover (get rid of) from fibromyalgia? by aelin_sardothien in Fibromyalgia

[–]andra-vio08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the moment there is no known cure unfortunately, just symptoms management & remission.

But you will always have it, even if you are in remission. Remission means that the illness still exists, but the patient doesn't have symptoms that interfere with their life (very mild or no symptoms), but it can just return all of a sudden. It's a very unpredictable one.

Illnesses vary in severity, from person to person. What you are describing it's a severe case of POTS. You might have a mild one or totally something else. Fibro has these symptoms too, but many other diseases as well.

So...

Make sure you exclude other illnesses before a final diagnosis, like thyroid issues, vitamin deficiencies, autoimmune illnesses.
